  • yes the whole nation is in jeopardy because some warmongers arent getting their promotions... if this is really the case, then the military is being mismanaged way worse than anyone knows.

When you refuse to fill management positions, yes, it will become even more mismanaged. Moreover, this is still messing with people's pay and families as well. You can't really cut management positions in the military and expect it to function. Our readiness will absolutely be hindered.

You can hate the army, but they're also one of the biggest suppliers of aid to other countries. Their logistics and planning help save more lives than you ever will, plus they save more lives than they actually ever take in combat.

You're no better than a Republican who just wants to shut down and obstruct without offering any actual assistance or plans to move forward. You're a child not getting their way. Are you related to the Senator as you throw a similar hissy fit?

  • At this point, the highest levels of our government are mainly just filled with folks seeking power and money (not always the same thing, so I think it bears mentioning both). They may have started off at the bottom with different intentions, but at this point, I doubt Pelosi is running with the intention that she would best execute the Democratic Party's agenda (and having an agenda is not a bad thing, I feel like people make that a dirty word, so felt the need to clarify in advance).

  • I refer you back to my original comment involving the impact of not having a good definition of death and what that causes.

Your definition does not clarify any of the resulting problems arising from trying to define all the other concepts.

It's a good definition for some scenarios, but not at all or in any way, this one.

  • Regardless, that's not the same as saying they're not as strict which is what I was replying to.

Idaho stop is broken the same way a car not following a yield sign is broken. It's still really easy and one of the most common complaint about cyclists to begin with.

  • Says the troll who didn't even read the headline of the post before posting just because they saw a car and cycle in the same picture.

Beyond that, I responded to each of their points. If you want a source, ask them to provide them and I will give a rebuttal. I responded to the amount of information they provided. I didn't see you asking them for a source, but you already have shown you're obviously biased and don't actually care about real discussion. Otherwise you wouldn't just interject an opinion into a topic without even knowing what's being discussed.

  • But I mean, wiremin doesn't actually appear to connect you to strangers. It seems like it just sets up private chat rooms from its description. I don't see anyway that it publicly posts in a fashion that would appear on all WireMin users apps.

Edit: it only seems to connect you to people you explicitly provide. So hence "chat app".

  • That would cause the biggest impact, but in the meantime I wish car drivers were just better educated about the rules of the road when a bicycle is present. I'm not even sure which is the easier goal honestly. Maybe better infrastructure is easier even if more expensive. Easier to change a road than it is to change people.

  • It's mainly just used to highlight something they find absurd about cars, which is a fair opinion about cars when considering the weight versus other modes of transportation. Obviously they can't do everything a car can do, but it's a fair consideration.
