Soneone didn't make it to the orgy "plate of hotdogs" scene, I see lol.

I recommend giving it another go, the first episode starts out slow to establish a lot of plot, but it pretty quickly ramps up.

There's a lot if good bits, and you do need to be 100% ready to see Micheal Myers dick. That show is not reined in lol.

I ended up making my own, it was surprisingly easy and fun.

I just bought the fattest thickest yarn available at micheals and finger knit it into a giant blanket. With it being so thick it was easy to just work my way back and forth knitting it by pulling loops with my fingers.

I went overkill and used too many skeins and now it won't fit in my washing machine, so I can only wash it at the laundromat on the turbo size machines. Also when it's wet it takes my fiance and I combined to lift it.

But hot damn is it amazing, it's both heavy as hell but breathes really well so I don't get too hot under it. And it's large enough I can fold it in half for double weight/warmth if I wanna just cook myself like a lil bean burrito.

Highly recommend it, it's a fun beginner project.

This article is about how many plugins have Bern discovered to have implemented oath in a very insecure way and simply using them can expose your sensitive info you have linked to your chatgpt account.

IE:

1. You connect your github account to your chatgpt account (so you can ask chatgpt questions about your private codebase)
2. You install and use one of many other compromisable weakly implemented plugins
3. Attacker uses the weak plugin to compromise your whole account and can now access anything you attached to your account, IE they can now access your private git repos you hooked up in step 1...

Most of the attack vectors involve a basic (hard to notice) phish attack on weak oath urls.

The tricky part is the urls truly are and look legit. It isn't a fake url, it actually links to the legit page, but they added some query params (the part after the ? In the url) that compromise the way it behaves

Note that ChatGPT indeed implemented a state parameter, but their state was not a random value, and therefore could be guessed by the attacker.

Bruh wut, rookie mistake.

State is supposed to be mathematically random and should expire fairly quickly.

I always have used a random guid that expires after 10-15 minutes for state, if they try and complete the oauth with an expired state value I reject ad ask them to try again.

Also yeah the redirect uri trick is common, that's why oath apis must always have a "whitelist urls" functionality. And not just domain, the whole url.

That's why when you make a Google api token you gotta specify what urls it's valid for explicitly. That way any other different redirect uri gets rejected, to prevent an injection attack from a third party providing their own different redirect uri to a victim.

Oath is pretty explicit about all these things in its spec. It really sucks people treat it as optional "not important" factors.

This one is really interesting. Primarily speaking ants a good example of where this type of genetic expression is taken to its logical extreme.

It's basically the "aunt" and "uncle" survival trait that shows up in communal creatures. Homosexuality shows up in creatures that both need to raise their young and stay together in herds. So humans of course very much satisfy this condition.

So how's this relate to ants (and bees and termites too)?

In a colony, technically speaking everyone is the queens offspring, so everyone are siblings.

The queens aletes (prince and princess ants if you will) are only the queens offspring, all the drones dont sexually reproduce.

Yet, the drones all care for the offspring as if they are their own, that's kinda weird from a survival standpoint right?

Well it's simple, the drones are clones of the queen, so they also heavily share genetics with the offspring. From a genetic standpoint there's no difference.

So if the drones take care of the offspring like their own, and the offspring go on to mate, then the drones genetics also propagate. They have a evolutionary pressure to raise the babies despite not having any of their own.

The same occurs for homosexuality. Human babies are a lot of work to take care of, and if you have a sibling you share a lot of genetics, then you have an evolutionary pressure to take care of your nephews and neices. It's the "next best" option to propagating your own children. The genetic difference isn't much worse.

So what ends up happening is you have an evolutionary benefit if a percent of your population is born homosexual, as they will help with raising their nieces and nephews, and it turns out this combo has a net higher survival rate than just everyone being hetero.

So over thousands of years we get this gradual pressure to settle on a sweet spot of some % of us being gay.

This is also a solid explanation for the "fifth brother" thing, where every son a mother has is exponentially more likely to be gay. We haven't fully isolated what causes it (its prolly hormones) but it's a well known occurring phenomina that the more older brothers you have, the more likely you are to be gay.

Based on the above supposition, it'd 100% make sense from an evolution standpoint for mothers to produce homosexual offspring if they have multiple healthy children, as after a certain point it makes sense strategy wise to have a couple gay uncles/aunts that naturally help their older siblings with childcare.

It's just way way better for survival in nature if not everyone is pumping out babies, and a handful just aren't into that but still take care of their family.

Basically it's quality over quantity!

Mature women is straightforward, older = more knowledge and capable.

Pretty much everything else you listed is about trust, so I'd say that trust is a very big thing you value in a partner, and due to humans very long time they spend dependant on parents and our community survival strategy, trust is very much a trait that is selected for.

People that are untrustworthy are unattractive, a lot of kinks primarily build on top of publicly shameful acts in private, which is effectively the ultimate trust fall exercise.

Feeling like you can trust a partner with such acts is very very positively reinforced genetically, so it becomes sexually attractive.

In short: because humans live together and make complex communities, trust is important, which means getting kinky is very sexy as it signals deep rooted trust.

A perfect example of this is actually people who stayed in the same exurban area and work similar jobs to the generation before them. I have relatives that are teachers, and former neighbors who are teachers. Wanna guess which generation is barely making ends meet in a shitty little house and which is living fat and rich next to engineering and management neighbors?

I have so many, so many friends my age that complain about money, then I visit their home abd see their fridge and I instantly think "oh, well, now I see why they are having issues..."

It's become very difficult to not just assume it's either budget issues, or a total lack of willing to change location/job. It's pretty much always one of those two.

The times I've seen people complain about it, and then their car has a bunch of fast food wrappers in it is endless. It's a plague.

And I don't necessarily blame them. I blame the lack of support networks, schooling, etc, that didn't teach them how to manage their lives. The wests' school systems churn kids out like a factory.

The news outlets you consume from have a vested interest in keeping you thinking clawing your way up and out is impossible

In a world of chaotic magic though, you also have to factor in the potential side effects of jailing someone with uncontrolled magic.

It's very possible that jailing her could make things worse, potentially producing disastrous effects.

I'd say banishment would be more practical, ideally sending her off to somewhere where she can get help. At least temporarily relocating her out of range of harming others, then promptly sending messengers to kingdoms to find anyone who may be able to help her with her powers.

While of course still keeping her supplied and having a liason between her abd the kingdom, so she isn't totally isolated, and keeping her updated on attempts to locate help.

Of course this should've been done long before she was a grown woman, she should've had a teacher found when she was still a child, instead of just locking her up in her room forever.

I'll keep it a headcannon that this was reasonably the case, that her entire childhood in isolation simultaneously had messengers desperately searching for help far and wide, and they truly just never were able to find her a teacher or anyone who knew wtf was going on and could help, her powers were just that esoteric.

I feel like this is more "how we feel we get perceived by others" moreso.

I try and perceive all the members of my team as, well, my team. I heavily appreciate everyone busting their assess off and contributions.

I moved several times abd changed jobs several times in my 20s as I clawed my way out of poverty. You have to get cool with not staying tied down if you want to do well.

If a place fuckin sucks, sell your shit and move.

If your job sucks, get a better one.

If rent is insane, get roommates.

And if you struggle with getting a job, you either aren't looking in the right places, you've set your standards too high, or you have some deeper rooted issue that's red flagging your application.

Or you are struggling with systemic racism/sexism/classism/ableism in the domain which of course fuckin sucks, and that one doesn't have as easy of a solution.

The reality is that very specific clusters of areas don't have enough housing built and it's fucking prices up, combined with a lack of government intervention on a small handful of greedy individuals.

I mostly just assume people that claim "there's nothing in my city affordable" are racist/picky and discarding tonnes of viable homes because they don't wanna live in those communities, so those houses don't count.

I hope one day you can connect the dots on how the the former helps with the latter.

Some houses shooting up in price due to various (shitty) factors does not mean every single house has. Only a small portion of them have which has biased the average price up.

If 10% of houses go up x5 in price, the average price will now calculate significantly higher even if the other 90% only change a small bit.

The following are fucked areas:

1. Major City cores as the west's renting markets are unhinged atm.
2. Closer to the core suburbs of tourist destinations for the Airbnb markets
3. Pockets of speculation areas that are being heavily gentrified.
4. Properties with land large enough to be potentially capable of being split into 2 smaller properties legally, as a speculation market. (This us why sometimes you see big old spots suddenly skyrocket, they satisfy the conditions to turn into 2 properties which can be lucrative if leveraged by a rental company)

Everything else had been fairly well in lockstep with inflation from what I have seen.

For non health related features, like a symmetrical face, those ones are the non sexual dimorphic characteristics, as those ones you care about transferring regardless of sex. Both men and women want a symmetrical face, basically.

The thought process goes like this:

It often isn't. I say this as someone who volunteers weekends on such a group (food donations).

It's very often chasing dopamine hits to compensate for how utterly isolated and desolate they feel. WIthout a support network or community to back them up, the easiest at hand way to compensate is small expenditures on treating themselves to help stave off the doom.

Which add up very fast, because turns out treats aren't free.

And this can take many forms. Collectibles, fast food, literal treats, energy drinks, coffee, cigarettes, weed, booze, etc.

When you have learned helplessness and truly believe it's pointless to save money, it becomes trivial to waste it on dozens of little pick me ups.

I've seen it endless times. I've helped people budget and so often they are shocked to realize they are spending absurd amounts of money on their guilty pleasure.

Let me make this clear, I've helped a decent handful of folks unfuck their budget. They had jobs, they rented, they couldn't figure out why saving money was hard.

We took a look and so much random shit Id be like "do you know you spent $300 at convenience stores this month?" And they'd be like "what? No way, that's impossible"

But I'd show em and they'd be flabbergasted.

Turns out that red bull and a snack everyday before work, and a treat everyday after work, adds up to a huge hole in the pocket.

And these are people truly in poverty, min wage at best, part time, struggling to pay bills.

$0 implies you don't have a job.

My entire post is about someone who has a job but complains about being unable to afford things.

Also, I missed another group, the "complains about money but never takes shifts" person.

Always saying they don't make enough, can't afford stuff, need more shifts, don't get enough hours, abd yet always are also the person first to ask to be cut early, always trying to get other people to take their shifts, never picking up other people's shifts, etc

There's always a few of em at every job. They don't seem to understand you have to actually work hours to get money, lol.

Over hundreds of folks I've worked with at dozens of gigs, I'd say about half of folks have both serious work ethic and responsible spending.

The other half either has shit work ethic, or, shit spending. Or both.

And I worked in a very much revolving door industry so I've seen a lot of faces in my time at this point.

The other half that had their shit together, every single one of them that I stayed in touch with over the years later, is now living comfortable in their 30s.

And when the topic comes up about so-and-so who was in the "doesn't have their shit together" group, it's either:

1. "Oh yeah they're in jail, they did (fucked up thing)"
2. "Oh yeah, they died" (which still sucks to hear)
3. "I lost touch, they dropped off the map"

I also largely attribute this issue to undiagnosed mental disorders, and the west's total lack of caretaking of them.

I'd sat the vast majority of those "doesn't gave their shit together" folks struck me as having undiagnosed disorders and a total lack of support for it.

Which sucks, unfortunately, and I say that as someone who was in that group for a bit. You have to fight tooth and nail to get help in western capitalism.

This is genuinely one of the first counterpoint I've seen that I have to say is actually super valid.

I completely agree on this, it's a big factor to consider.

However, I will note often you see a sort of split where you have 2-3 suburbs/towns near a big city, and one of them goes blue abd the other goes red, and you can see a bit of polarizing that happens as folks switch between the two to polarize away from each other.

In my area, one smaller town just switch all it's bathrooms to gender neutral bathrooms in the public office, the other one banned rainbow flags from being flown.

So if it's a condolence, at least that sometimes happens.

I expect it depends how left/right the province/state as a whole leans. I expect this phemonina stops happening in places like texas :(

As an example, in my area the "magic sauce" for why it was so much more affordable is the same fact it's heavily populated by imfolks from India and Africa. I'd say about half the people in this corner of the city or so, and I live in a much more right leaning province (Alberta, which is the florida of canada now)

So I expect a lot of... right leaning folks hate the idea of being neighbour's with folks in this neighborhood.

Oh well, cheaper house for me, and I love my community.

I wonder to what extent some amount of "can't afford homes" culture is influenced by racists who don't count any homes that run the "risk" of having to live next door to someone who isn't white.

I partially just assume people that "dont count" affordable homes because "I don't wanna live there" are just racist at this point, or, minorities trying to avoid racists.
