  • Used to live by Sennheiser headphones

Then I discovered ANC headphones. Then my phone lost its headphone jack.

Until Sennheiser have an ANC BT headphone option to rival Bose or Sony, they have lost that market segment.

  • 4 to 5 double espressos a day plus my ritalin just to maintain a clear head.

If I don't have to do lots of detail tasks (like if I'm doing yard work on the weekend, then my requirements drop.

More than a triple-shot makes my stomach a little uncomfortable, but I tend to tank stimulants. Almost every other medication I'm quite sensitive to, but stimulants don't do much.

Also I drink like 2 litres of water a day minimum.

  • It's all about the phrasing.

Other things that suffer from this have been listed in memes.

    "Butt dial." Vs. "Booty call"

    And

"Forgive me father, for I have sinned." Vs. "Sorry Daddy, I've been a bad girl."

  • I managed to get my whole family to use Signal for the family chat with minimal coersion.

As an IT worker and Android user in a family of iPhones, I was happy to take the win.

  • Fair.

We use the sign interpreter feature in Teams and it's really good. The live captions struggles a bit with the Aussie accent though.

But mostly it's the SharePoint/OneDrive/Outlook/m365 integration I find useful. If I was on Linus or macOS, I suspect I would feel differently.

    OneDrive on Mac is ass.

  • At work Teams has been great.

    Zoom is too bare-bomes.

The I hacked it together at 3am feel of the zoom interface makes me actively hate the damn thing.

Like teams feels like a communication application. Zoom feels like a hobby project.

  • Boss said stop coming in late.
I said I'm trying but my body hasn't cooperated with this start time for the last 30 years, I don't see why it will start now.
Boss said would starting and finishing later work?

For the last 5 years I've been starting at 9:30 and finishing at 6. And I haven't been late due to me as a person since.

Public transport problems happen occasionally, but it was that simple for them to get a full day out of me reliably.
