  • Muutenkin ihan hyvä ottaa chillisti viime vuoden tiukan kakkossijan jälkeen.

  • Mulla on edelleen Moin 9€ liittymä, odotan innolla milloin hinta nousee taas. Pyysin taannoin muuton yhteydessä Telialta tarjouksen puhelinliittymästä, halvin mihin pystyivät oli jossain 25€ tietämillä. Tää Suomen verkkopalveluntarjoaja-oligopoli on kyllä paskaa. Moikin on nykyään vaan DNA, ja yrityskaupan jälkeen hinta nousi heti kuudesta eurosta yhdeksään euroon.

  • 16% is pretty good. the ones at three to one percent are the weirdos.

    Illansuussa stand-up -komedianäytökseen kolleegan kanssa.

  • It's called "metadata", so clearly it belongs to Meta.

  • Project Regeneration Vol. 1's vocals are about 50/50 between Xer0 and Wayne. Some songs they both are heard, some are only Wayne, some are only Xer0. For example, Otsego Placebo's lead vocals are by Xer0 according to my CD booklet.

On that note, Project Regeneration Vol. 2 is releasing next week!

  • Nyt loppu sahti, nyt loppu sahti.

  • That reminds me of my Linux server teacher in university. We were to buy a domain name from Namecheap or Gandi during class with some free credits, and the teacher was recommending lastname[dot]com if that was available.

I happened to say aloud "yep, mylastname[dot]com is available" and he quickly sushed me as if I had named Voldemort aloud in Hogwarts, telling me that saying it is a really bad move... lol

  • Yes, give me all the classical-influenced hardcore techno. This slaps.

  • always will be harmonic minor vi-vii-i

  • I watched a grand total of 11 anime released this year, so I may as well write four words about each one:

    • OniMai: Weird, but strangely cozy.
    • Trigun Stampede: Cool ideas, odd pacing
    • Shingeki no Kyojin (both combined for 8 words): A satisfying finale for the amazing "Final" season.
    • Jigokuraku: Cool setting, otherwise basic.
    • Tengoku Daimakyou: It should've kept going.
    • Megumin spinoff: Favourite character, average series.
    • Oshi no Ko: Great. Slow at times.
    • Mushoku Tensei: Odd. It'll pay off.
    • Boy and the Heron: Miyazaki's weakest, interesting nonetheless.
    • PLUTO: Great mystery, many characters.

Didn't get around to Spy×Family continuation yet. For currently airing series carrying over to 2024, I really am enjoying Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and Sousou no Frieren.

  • I really enjoyed playing through Tunic on my Deck. I imagine Corpse Party (2021) would also be a great Deck game (I played the game before I got mine.)

  • Creating new porn images by teaching an AI/learning model what existing ones look like, or swapping faces on video as an example.

  • Kids are smart. Horny teenagers even more so. They will find loopholes or ways to circumvent these kind of things - speaking from experience. At age 13 I installed a keylogger on my PC to get the password for a parental control software my parents installed. Roughly one year later I also exploited a vulnerability in iOS 4 that allowed me to see the parental controls password in plaintext so I could re-enable Safari.

  • Not related to Steam Deck, but this caught my eye:

As soon as we thwarted their effort, they went around to 27 different developers and offered each one a payoff to undermine any effort we had to get their games onto our store exclusively. Activision and Riot and Supercell had direct distribution plans that they were planning on; Google paid them not to pursue those plans. Just direct blatant violations of anti-competition law, it’s crazy a company of Google’s scale would do that.

So Tim is stating that Google making exclusivity deals with applications developers is breaching laws and should be stopped, but Epic having exclusivity deals on their own stores is okay and not anti-competitive. Hypocrite much, eh?

  • Doesn't that kind of beat the purpose? The device can just store telemetric data and send them in batches whenever you connect it.
