That's not possible with AI-generated images impossible to distinguish from reality, or even expertly done photoshops. The practice, and generative AI as a whole, needs to be banned. They're putting AI in photoshop too so ban that garbage too.

So how will any progressive politician be able to be elected then? Because all the fascists would have to do is generate porn with their opponent's likeness to smear them.

Or even worse, deepfake evidence of rape.

Or even worse than that, generate CSAM with their likeness portrayed abusing a child.

They could use that to imprison not only their political opponents, but anyone for anything, and people would think whoever is being disappeared this week actually is a pedophile or a rapist and think nothing of it.

Actual victims' movements would be chopped off at the knee, because now there's no definitive way to prove an actual rape happened since defendants could credibly claim real videos are just AI generated crap and get acquitted. No rape or abuse claims would ever be believed because there is now no way to establish objective truth.

This would leave the fascists open to do whatever they want to anybody with no serious consequences.

But no one cares because they want AI to do their homework for them so they don't have to think, write, or learn to be creative on their own. They want to sit around on their asses and do nothing.

The fact that it can make CP at all is the reason why it needs to be banned outright.

That's a lazy-ass dismissal to a serious problem. You could have at least put in some bitching about millennials spending all of their money on avocado toast.

You have to understand that most of these people are NPCs who don't have the psychological capability to do for themselves. They are sitting around expecting the world to change for them because that's what they expect out of society: for all the important things to be done for them, and that's due to them internalizing a lifetime of being told that's all they're allowed to do. Instead of, you know, thinking for themselves or rebelling on their own.

As things get worse, expect to see a lot more bitching without any meaningful action.

Also expect a lot of them to get defensive when you tell them such because they know what you and I are saying is true.

Most people would unironically take that over the fresh hell post industrial capitalism has become.

Sometimes. A few times a week, at least. I compare our current lives with the Romans when contemplating existence. It made me realize humans are genetically hardwired to be shit as we largely haven't changed in the past few thousand years and likely never will. It made me realize how terrible humanity is and how I don't want to be a part of it.

...Except people still use trucks to run over protesters and innocent people in general, so it doesn't work. Prevention of tragedy is simply not possible, not legally. In order to prevent all such incidents, all automobiles would have to be rendered unusable, banned and each and every one seized and destroyed. That would not be feasible, and it's even more true for guns.

I really think it's high time the country split up so everyone can live by their own terms and no one is unfairly held down because we're forced to compete for control of one government and one ruleset.
