I don't think having an OnlyFans site would have been as impactful as rape culture isn't as strong now as it used to be. Millennials would be in the jury box and they by and large don't fall for such fuckery.

And it does, because I am the one who has been calling out popular instances for this crap since day one and have been banned repeatedly for it. To which you don't bat an eye because who cares what happens to an inebriated pachyderm? Instance admins would never abuse their power to protect their feelings or cover up their wrongdoing with you. You're kind and sober, after all.

Ask yourself where it is you're going to go when .world admins ban you for criticizing them, or other innocuous shit like your political speech, or simply because they don't like you. .world controls the vast majority of Lemmy's userbase so what happens to you and any followings you build then? What will happen when major protests erupt next year and they censor people like fucking Reddit did?

All I can do is warn you. And once again you'll refuse to listen to me because you're too busy, how did you put it? Making it all about you and your hurt feelings from my words instead of displaying the humility and wisdom required to do what's right. And the one who will pay the price for it is you.

I agree with you. I am merely pointing out the facts of the matter, that's all.

That's not gonna stop them. They can arbitrarily make as many accounts as they need to do it, and just bounce from account to account one comment at a time if necessary.

Most people have at least a few alts on other instances simply by virtue of instance shopping. Meaning most people already can evade bans.

It's just a bad, broken system.

Here's the problem I have with the whole wack-ass federation system:

Those Hexbear trolls could just make accounts on other instances and keep messing with people without consequences.

Most major Lemmy instances aren't heavily moderated and the ones that are are only modded to serve the emotional whims of the mods and admins, and not for the benefit of the users.

The whole-ass structure still has a hierarchy and therefore is still problematic.

His punishment has to put him in jail where he'll be removed from society and still retain some rights. It's the only fair and just way.

No, the answer to not having a gun and not being able to fight is to get a gun and gain the ability to fight. If you cannot do that, ally yourself with friends and family who 1) do and 2) are willing to defend you, even with their lives.

That's the only real answer because we've seen clearly that cops 1) legally are not obligated to protect anybody, 2) won't, 3) are tyrannical and more interested in entrenching power over other people than doing anything positive.

Cops are not the answer to the human condition. Only friends and family are, really. Only you youself are, ultimately.

So clearly, it is possible to expect dyslexic people -- like myself and my friends -- to be held to the same standards as everyone else.

You don't have a right to demand people assume everyone who refuses to watch their spelling and grammar is dyslexic.

You don't have a right to demand no one hold anyone else accountable for anything intellectual or to not let us expect people to know, understand, or do anything. That's not how life works.

If you are dyslexic, you have to be doubly careful because of it. And it may not seem fair to you, but life isn't fair, and what you want is an unfair burden on everyone else, including us other dyslexics who do understand that.

You doing that is insulting to the rest of us who do have various learning disabilities and struggles who have to be associated with lazy, selfish people like yourself who think that you're entitled to skate because of it. You are not, we want to be treated as equals to everyone else, and here you are fucking it up using our disability to imply we'll never be as good as everyone else and therefore have to have our hand held and treated as an inferior, and I am telling you no, you will not demand we be mollycoddled because you think no one has a right to hold anyone responsible for anything.

Disabilities are not excuses and you're not going to turn them into one. You have to adhere to the same standards as everyone else whether you like it or not.

They might not be real supporters. They are probably shill accounts forum sliding and doing the same things to control consensus they have done everywhere else.

The admins were probably paid off. There are people actively defending being federated with Zuck bullshit and they're likely dumb shills or bots too.

I left Reddit specifically to get away from this shit, yet here we are. 🤦
