  • What is lineage os Android TV? Couldn't find it anywhere on my search engine.

Also I don't know what people mean by "the wall that is nvidia on linux" I have been using my gtx 1660 on Linux and it just works. Since I use bazzite you can select your gpu model before downloading the iso file and it preinstalls nvidia proprietary drivers. I'm not sure what it's like on other distros but it seems fine.

In fact I also have an rx 6700xt but unfortunately I could not get a display output on Linux no matter what I tried. So for me nvidia has been better than amd on Linux.

  • Obviously cars need at least 3x more room than they actually use because it makes them feel safer driving at higher speeds and great cities are made when cars are able to drive as fast as possible.

  • There are ways to send all of your internet traffic over tor. For example tails os does it by default.

And tor is definitely more secure than a vpn. Any VPN company can just log all your internet traffic and sell it if they want to. Compared to tor you will need to gain access to at least 2 nodes that the internet traffic goes through in order to get any mildly useful information, that is significantly harder than with a VPN.

Also I just wanna say arguments like these are so fun to read

  • Yeah most people but it's a snowball effect once a few people you know start using Linux and they like it then you are a lot more likely to try it yourself. I'm an optimist and I believe Linux will start exponentially increasing in adoption (to a point) in the next few years.

Also I think most people do change there default browser but they change it to Chrome ):

  • I want to talk to people online but reddit is too yucky. Lemmy has a better community than reddit and it's not for proffit open source decentralized and all the other things that I love.

  • Why is the techlore community against more advanced privacy? At the very least they could suport the people who have a higher threat model than them instead of banning them.

And why on earth does techlore prefer Google over grapheneos?

  • Update: I got space engineers and beamng.drive working it was probably a problem with not having write permission on my hdd(see comment I put above)

I am pretty sure i am running counter strike natively at the moment. How do I change it between running natively and running with proton? I think it might perform better with proton.
