  • Super useful when I have a half-baked idea or concept that I want to learn more about, but don't know the lingo. I can explain the idea and it'll give me terms to search.

Also, it gives pretty good ideas for debugging or potential fixes.

Not sure i'd ever "trust with my life", but it's a useful tool if you use it right.

  • If you're on a boat... fair enough.

Otherwise, look into WISPs... Wireless Internet Service Providers. Great for rural areas, the infrastructure is point-to-point radios, so it's super easy to go large distances without the cost of fiber or copper cables.

Best part is, if you have any neighbors that are interested, they'll often give you a discount if you let them put a sector antenna on your barn/silo. Or they can also erect a short tower if you let them too.

If there aren't any in your immediate area, reach out to ones nearby. They're always looking to expand.

  • The damage being done by alcohol accumulates, sure. But if you stop drinking, the damage is done. You're not going to see more damage occur once it is out of your body. The poison doesn't accumulate over time.

With lead exposure, the poison is the thing accumulating in the body. If you stopped your exposure to lead, it's still in the body, doing damage over time.

  • Increased risk of stroke is one i've heard of. seeing as they make it into blood, milk, organs.

We're going to have serious problems with different vessels and ducts getting clogged. It's going to be all completely new too.

  • 0.08mg per half cup serving, but may vary depending on water used. https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Fluoride-HealthProfessional/

10mg is the accepted daily upper limit for an adult. So 62.5 cups of oatmeal to reach that max safe limit. https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Fluoride-Consumer/

Acute poisoning symptoms may appear as low as 10-15 mg/kg, lethal dose might be 32-64 mg/kg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluoride_toxicity

So 200 to 400 cups of oatmeal per kg you weigh for a lethal dose. (32/0.08/2=200, 64/0.08/2=400)

  • "Thermal Noise" is a phenomenon where everything makes EM noise, just from thermal energy.

If you were to put such a TV in a faraday cage, with an RF termination, you would see something similar. Because noise is inherently part of the circuitry and amplifiers.

  • FYI: companies will do 2 things to make black friday kinda suck these days

    1. Prices will go up before black friday so they can have an exagerated sale/discount.
    2. Some companies will make units specifically for black friday. Usually cheaper, less features, and sometimes less reliable.

Figure out what you want now.
