  • In contrast, something like a kei truck wouldn't be easy to get street legal as a new car in the US: no crumple zone and higher center of gravity are more fundamental safety issues that can't easily be engineered around.

Meanwhile every landscaper is buying brand new Isuzu trucks that are just larger version of kei trucks. The reason they arent legal isnt saftey, but it would eat into the profits of the big 3.

  • i never understood the suspicion about companies selling solar panels... they're not snake oil, they work exactly as they are advertised. But, they allow people to be self reliant and not forced to rely on large enegry companies. It really shows where the allegiance for "conservatives" lie.

  • One could spend the enegry to spin their own beliefs to demostrate their contradictions... but their cognitive dissonance will cause them to just dig deeper to maintain their world view... people have to have an open mind before any rational debates can be made.

  • People got way too greedy with Switch emulation

The fact emulators are faster than the real hardware, can you blame them? Also, modding games is vastly easier, and people like mods.

Nintendo is just shooting themselves in the foot by not making these things more accessible. its a service issue. But nintendo prefers to invest in lawyers and not into their engineers.

  • Yes, the lawsuits by the community collations belived nuclear waste was being dumped from the nearby NFS, but the NRC would have been all over their ass for doing so.

The NRC clearly states there is no nuclear waste there. https://web.archive.org/web/20170325023938/https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML0930/ML093010711.pdf

Now there may be chemical dumped from the deenrichment processing, but when I researched into this topic a while back, all my sources lead all the chemicals was coming from the chem plants in Kingsport, mainly eastman.
