What is destroyed can be brought back but not in the same way. Destruction is not the end even though things won't be the same after, probably a world wars reference of sorts.

Republicans have already proven they'll harm any family they can reach with the "conversation" about whether Jill should be allowed to be called a Dr. since she has a PhD and not an MD. The charging and excessive sentencing of Hunter. Not to mention those who stand for justice like Letitia or Fani.

My issue is this makes it quite likely that in the possibility of a return to democratic control in 2028 that Trump will pardon his families and friends actual crimes since the precedent has been set (Though he'd probably do so anyway at least for Ivanka).

It gives justification for discrimination. To make people who disagree or are affected less than human and thus atrocities against them do not count as atrocities.

I don't like where I am for a variety of reasons but not even close to being so severe that I feel sick going to work or about what my work is contributing to. I had that experience once(in college) and quit within a month...thankfully I could at that point. But I would never stop looking for something else if my job sucked that bad.

Friends and parents certainly can chip in but they usually get bought out for nothing or their shares are diluted to basically nothing when bigger money comes in.

Oh man I tried a chess club as a kid, got to finals of the internal club (there were only like 6 of us lol) was going pretty piece for piece with the other kid then moved a pawn to set up a fork and the "ref" told me it was too late in the game to move pawns. You can't control all the challenges of your presidency but there were a lot of actions he could have taken to reduce the harm done. Instead he worked to make it worse.

He withheld and stole equipment from blue states and sent it to Russia. He was actively anti-mask and anti-vax. Which both reduce harm to people (and the economy), he postponed stimulus checks so he could put his name on them. He allowed giving away taxpayer money to corporations and people that didn't need it (PPP loans) and neglected the small businesses that could have actually used it.
