  • Songkick? I've been using it for a few years and it works reasonably well. I believe you can connect it to Spotify too. The only negative is it's usually 3-5 days behind the announcement of shows. Following the artist directly is still the best bet to guarantee you hear it straight away. But that's only a problem if the show/artist is super popular and sells out fast.

  • This was the info I was interested in.

Finely ground (espresso) coffee grounds were dried in the sun and then sifted. Then mixed with binders (xanthan gum and carboxymethyl cellulose powders) and water. These are printed in a modified consumer grade fdm 3d printer using a syringe instead of the hot end. The resulting material is claimed to be as strong as unreinforced concrete, but is biodegradable.

  • That's awesome! Congrats on qualifying and good luck this weekend!

I've got a disc golf comp on Sunday. Teams match play format, so a bit different to usual and should be fun.

Another question. At your level in axe throwing, is it largely mental game that decides the winner, or other factors?

  • Is there a blog/social media page type thing for alternative sports/activities in Melbourne? Where they might review the sport, what's involved and the culture etc. Seems like there are a lot on offer in Melbourne, but no out there trying them all and documenting it(?) Thinking things like axe throwing, Trugo, larping, bike polo, roller derby and so on.

  • Following sports. Being a die hard sports fan is time consuming and stressful. Obviously betting on sports is an addiction people talk about now, but even tipping comps and fantasy football type leagues are things that rob you of time and energy.

  • Playing in a doubles comp this arvo ahead of the disc golf tournament on the weekend. It's at a temporary course in Wantirna South so hopefully the council gets behind the initiative and it becomes permanent.
