  • Feel free to give more references about these points, I'm always happy to read more.

  • I'd be happy to contribute with a recurring donation or subscription. Thanks for the awesome show, great job!

  • Welcome to Lemmy and to the Fediverse!

  • Subsplease have never let me down: although I can't check the fidelity with the original audio, the English expressions (and grammar) they use are usually quite good and very specific for some situations. But do they do the subbing themselves, or do they get it from somewhere else?

Edit: although I see you're asking about official subs...

  • Thank you, I read that, as I mention in the post, but the colours they list in the help section don't match the ones I see (as background colour to the whole row): never seen orange or grey, and I see white instead.

  • Cheers! Never seen it here, I'll check online.

  • Racism, homophobia, and similar phenomena often come from ignorance and from living within a bubble. But many responses to them also show clear signs of ignorance and living within a bubble...

  • Cheers! one mystery solved.

  • Indeed! @NaN if you have any links or references where I can read more about this interesting relationship, feel free to share.(Cool username by the way.)

  • What's sad and superficial is that these kinds of restrictions and bans just cover a symptom but don't cure the problem. Maybe they even make it worse. We need an overhaul of our cultural foundation and educational system.

  • So smart and inventive! Which publishing house is it?

  • I was also wondering: where will this person find the time to moderate all these communities – also seeing the huge variety of hobbies? 😂

  • Completely agree! I didn't mention this, but I keep the back-up hard drive in another apartment.

This reminds me of a story that happened in some university in England: they had two backups of some server in two different locations. One day one back-up drive failed, and the second failed the day after. Apparently they were the same brand & model. The moral was: use also different back-up hardware brands or means!

  • Alright, and I'll also rewatch the Harmony Gold remake series :)

  • By the way: was "SDF" chosen after the Macross series? or did the logo idea come to mind after noticing the identical acronyms?

Edit: I found it in the FAQ:

The system was run as a Japanese Anime SIG and was known as the SDF-1.
