  • Trump “is not the same person that I dealt with just four years ago, and he’s incapable now of even a train of thought. He’s making things up.”

Reminder: It was the Peaceful LA Protests of June 2025

  • Not to be too cynical, but there are lot of Mexican Catholics that have lots of babies. Also, don't forget that the Vatican hired a Fox News dude to run their PR department. Not sure if he still works there, but I bet his legacy still exists if he doesn't.

  • Unfortunately we let these people become far too powerful.

Yep. Enough so, that unelected Musk could walk into any government building and do what he wanted.

  • Yeah, unfortunately they'll target anyone they can. Brexit wasn't even a law, it was a general, "Hey, how do you feel about brexiting?" Then they went full hog into, "You voted for it!" They do it with Ukraine/Russia, or anything they feel like targeting.

World disorder that benefits the billionaires seems to be the goal. I'll never understand why they want to live in a world like that. Raising all boats makes a much more fun world. Who will they hire if we're in a dystopian landscape, when everyone wants to get you because they have nothing to lose?

Take care of your mental health man. Find peace in the little things in life.

  • It's the army version of a really bad comb-over and shoe lifts while wearing a diaper.

  • Versions of them are here already. Their focus right now is to:

    • start violence at protests, especially around LA and target cities like NY, Seattle, Chicago, etc.
    • seed doubt in anything related to the republican agendas or what they have done. Usually starts with, "I hate trump like the rest of us, but...." or something like that.
    • downvote the shit out of people that call anything like the above out. They'll come in later, one by one, to do this.

They usually congregate over the weekend and during or right after major events (like the protest). Watch for them this weekend or stay away from Lemmy. If you watch for it, downvote them and upvote the people fighting them, but most of all, take what everyone says with a grain of salt.

  • If you don't feel like your kids are safe, then don't. It really depends on the city or town. There are towns in Washington that could absolutely have drag events and carnival games and there wouldn't be any more likelihood of things going wrong than any other event. Seattle is a target city, you might want to think about it. But then again, it's mostly been peaceful except when cops are cruel.

  • I don't see any corporations. Of course, they're not seizing the opportunity to save our democracy.

  • They’re going to have a family friendly drag show and carnival games

I think that's a great idea, it gets the kids involved early in the democratic process. Also, whatever gets people out there.

  • If you look at the map, it's pretty significant the number. Also, there are some in states you wouldn't think there would be any.

  • American is about equal.

  • And has the personality and charm of a potato. Not sure he would continue the legacy of maga, they don't even like the couch fucker.

  • Trump said months before the election that he's got it covered and he isn't worried about it. Why would that be? He told us what he was doing at the time, his people were rigging it.

  • It depends on who did the cheating and how prolific it is in other states and counties.

  • There has been a lot of encouragement of violence on Lemmy lately. When pressed, they're usually not Americans. Don't fall for it.

  • A 78 year old that wears diapers, looks like he's winding down and the personality of a toddler.

  • It looks like it was skinnied up. It's an easy photoshop fix. You skinny the background people a little, but take him out and skinny him. It might have been layered against another background too. It looks like the equivalent of too much botox too me, but in reverse.
