Reservoirs and rivers rely on melting snow pack, without it they dry up in the summer. Disaster for farmers, fishers, boaters and people who just like fresh water and electricity.

I am sure their math will be just as poor for this as it was for the Pension Plan

I have been using linux off and on since I first installed Slackware from floppy. Mint is generally what I go to when I just want to have a working desktop and not dick around with it too much.

That was not really the problem though. Those kids interacting in small classrooms would undo all the work of controlling the spread of the disease. They infect each other and then carry it back home to more vulnerable people. Or to the teachers, administrators and staff members working at the schools.

The amount of abuse he has put up with is astounding. All for promoting his research and advocating for action to avert catastrophe. I honestly do no know how he maintains his patience or motivation in the face of it all.

I got to meet Dr Mann in 2012 at a small speaking engagement he did promoting his book "The Climate Wars". He was incredibly friendly and penned a note to my children encouraging them to get into science. A year or so later I emailed him an anecdote about me explaining climate change and climate denial to my then 7yr old daughter. "Those people are crazy" were her exact words. I never really expected him read it let alone respond but he did. No real point to this story other than to relay that he is a real and sincere person who does not deserve the hate he gets from the crazies.

Mint dumped Snaps in favour of Flatpack. Even then they are clearly labeled as such in the Software Manager. If both Flatpack and Deb are available for the package you can choose which to install.

Seriously. After using Proton Free for over a year I moved to SurfShark. No complaints except for the dumb name. They are cheap, effective, and fast enough.

I frequently do this to try out different DEs. My only issue with it is that if the DE has its own version of some package like a music player I end up with a cluttered menu with all version from all installed DEs. Would be nice if there were an easy way to limit each DE to its app list by default.
