  • I do encourage you to rent one. I like driving, too, and I just didn't think it was a good experience. But I didn't really fool around with the programs. It's interesting at least.

It's possible drivers who care have figured it out, but there is at least a very large learning curve.

  • I'm not disagreeing, but having driven a Tesla for a couple weeks-- it'll make a good driver look bad every time. Turning radius is surprisingly bad. Normal (through the window/mirror) visibility is bad. Handling is super weird and probably unlearnable in the default settings because the car seems to be constantly "correcting" your inputs even when not in autopilot. The default break style gives me motion sickness even when I'm the one driving. And the turn signals-- you just don't know how long they'll stay on, so I did start to feel reluctant to use them?

  • I don't know how the polling would catch them, but the idea that people under 30 are more progressive socially or economically is probably a huge simplification. I only have anecdotal information, but what is see is they are spilt, and largely along gender lines, with both sides taking the idea of a breakdown of government as we know it almost as a moot point.

  • They're removing ads from the site based on content standards they have agreed to with the advertisers. They're not censoring anything and have only notified you of the changes you would need to make if you want to keep their business. You are not owed revenue from Google or anyone else.

Is it a problem that so much of the Internet, including your site, "depends" on corporate advertising? Yes. Is that censorship? No. You are free to find your own sponsors.

  • You're right, but grocery stores sell their shelf space, too, down to the inch and not just the end caps. So this is exactly what's happening in your grocery store, only online I think the annoyance comes from the slim chance you can get around it if you try hard enough and the lack of instinct when dealing with pictures and text instead of real objects.

  • You can't build your way to housing affordability. They are wasting land and resources, will still all be sold to corporate and wealthy and rented back to you at whatever "market" price they ask for. There are empty apartments and houses all over the place. Sorry for the rant.

  • I think this may be true. After my last Mac upgrade, the app did not work with either of my phones. It looked like just a timing issue, because the files would eventually appear but the file transfer app had given up and wouldn't let you do anything but quit. Probably a fairly minor bug that for whatever reason they just won't fix.

  • You cannot compare this in any way to Columbus. Going to the moon is not like floating down a current across an ocean that's been crossable for humans for thousands of years. The moon itself is not a land of largely untapped resources. There is very little reward for a very extreme venture.

What this conspiracy means to me is that 50 years ago the public discourse of this country was controlled by educated people who knew what science and engineering was capable of, and for better and worse that is no longer the case and people don't even believe in intelligence anymore. This is also just my opinion with no proof and badly written.
