  • They will get around it. Instead I suggest that buy buttons should say what you're buying.

For example: Just "buy" should not be allowed.

"Buy License" or "Rent Game" for games with DRM. "Buy game" where you own your digital copy and can do whatever you want with it.

  • First of all, discriminatory hiring.

    second of all,

With more people playing video games than ever before, it is important for us to help build an inclusive entertainment industry that reflects the diversity of our players.

Sounds like an agenda to me.

  • I would happily watch ads if they were non-intrusive and non-interrupting ads like side banners that don't cause popups, or product placement inside videos.

I would also pay for a platform where 100% of the money goes to paying for hosting and paying the creators.

Neither of these things are happening, so yes, I would rather donate to support piracy.

  • At first I connected the PS4 dualshock controller to the PC via bluetooth and configured it to move the cursor similarly to how the ps4 works, but the virtual keyboard on Linux Mint kept popping up and going away randomly so I bought a mini Bluetooth keyboard with a small touch pad instead.

I did also try voice commands and it worked great, but I didn't want to carry a mic around so I never really used it.

  • Yeah, a name should describe what it is or does, so if you have two turtles, and let's say turtle1 wants to shit on turtle2's lawn, you could name them shittingTurtle and victimTurtle. If the name alone tells you what its purpose is, that saves a lot of time for people looking at your code.

Is_Turtle is not a bad variable name because it tells you it is a Boolean with "is" and that the Boolean tells you whether something is a turtle or not.

Also, depending on the language, I suggest either camelCase or snake_case naming of variables. PascalCase is usually for defining classes or in case of C#, methods.

  • Have you noticed anything else strange about her lately? For example, does she claim your plate at dinner, or constantly fight with you about which part of the bathtub is her part?

That's not your sister, you might be living with Xi Jinping.

  • Whenever I see any news that portrays China in a good light (e.g. Chinese chip industry, Chinese renewables, car manufacturing, etc) I always assume it is Chinese propaganda by a bot or a shill.

Whenever I see an influencer in China, I am almost certain they've been paid to promote and have strict guidelines on what to say and not to say.
