One day, the divers license works fine, the next day it turns into an arduous process. What exactly changes about the probability provability of your identity?
I’d love to hear what the full processes for checking IDs are in all three cases: RealID, Drivers License, Drivers License after RealID is required.
Interesting point. Then you understand why Apple is making moves to try to be a real player in gaming.
All three of us see how gaming performance is plateauing across various hardware types to the point that a modern game can run on a wide range of hardware. With settings changes to scale across the hardware, of course.
Or are you going to be a bummer and claim it’s only mini pcs that get this benefit. Not consoles, not VR headsets, not macs, not Linux laptops.
There really is a situation going on where there is a large body of hardware in a similar place on the performance curve in a way that wasn’t always true in the past. Historically, major performance gains were made every few years. And various platforms were on very different and less interoperable hardware architectures, etc.
The Steam Deck’s success proves my point, and your point alone.
The thing is, people don’t wanna hear it. They wanna focus on the very high end. Or super high refresh rates. Or they wanna complain about library sizes.
That’s not at all what I was getting at. My point is the people claiming this is the worst they have seen have a limited point of view and should cast their gaze further across the industry, across social media.
They don’t have a lore bible and a bunch of design documents and iterations and versions of their plans laying around?
Weird.
This also makes me assume that before any new campaign they review YouTube lore videos to get up to speed instead of reviewing their own fucking internal literature.
I’m sure there are individuals doing worse one off shit, or people targeting individuals.
I’m sure Facebook has run multiple algorithm experiments that are worse.
I’m sure YouTube has caused worse real world outcomes with the rabbit holes their algorithm use to promote. (And they have never found a way to completely fix the rabbit hole problems without destroying the usefulness of the algorithm completely.)
The actions described in this article are upsetting and disappointing, but this has been going on for a long time. All in the name of making money.
I’ve never had a cat that is into catnip, but I had one that was into black olives.
They would come running from the farthest parts of the house if a can was opened, and they would only play with the olives and rarely eat much of them.
