What would you do with if you had the Midas touch?

I think the purpose of it would be to control the device the headphones are connected to, rather than be the source of the media
Yeah, I was gonna make the joke, but got lazy.
It works under every definition of it, really.
Fun fact: the word "factoid" means a false bit of information that is being passed as fact. It doesn't mean "a small interesting tidbit of information".
Though I suppose the official definition will be changed since the proper one is seemingly dead
Quick edit: looks like it may have already been altered.
Yup. And nobody but their customers will buy (since it's $150 for a $100 card) so they don't have to worry about buying a card to send a real customer to look legit.
Because when you're the one who "came up" with it, it's usually a pretty sweet ride, provided you can weather the revolutions and stuff.
If it makes you feel any better, I made the "without the hard R" joke to myself when I initially saw the sub name, haha
'appers' being 'rappers' without the hard r
Pretty sure it's because it's a subreddit, so it's written as r/appers.
Garbage content regardless, though.
I don't know of any videos, but the concept seems to have gotten pretty popular in the last year or two. I'm in the 3D printing community, and there's pretty frequently a "magic floating whatever>" in the "popular" section.
I assume the most difficult part would be determining what size magnets to use to achieve the desired float height. The rest should (in theory) be relatively simple; the magnets' natural characteristics do all the hard work.
It is done entirely with magnets.
There's a few ways it can be arranged, but typically, there will be a large, powerful magnet in the base, a small magnet at the bottom of the floating object that is attracted to the big magnet (to keep the object upright), and a series of other magnets around the object that are repelled by the big magnet (to make it float).
I've seen some that use a secondary "key" magnet on the base and object that is the opposite polarity of the base magnet, that forces the object to sit in a specific orientation. Otherwise, the object can just kind of freely spin/float, so long as the bottom magnet stays pointing down.
A FATAL Mistake
Even Lord of the Rings has racist elements - JRR Tolkein said in multiple occasions that he based the dwarves on Jews
I don't doubt this, given the era the man was born, but have you got a source? I tried digging something up, and the only things I can find are that Khuzdul is based on Hebrew, and a lot of letters during and post WWII speaking highly of Jews and poorly of Hitler and the Nazis.
A FATAL Mistake
I think you replied to the wrong response
Very late to this. But! If anyone tries to call you on having the same last name and address, depending on the service, you might get away with saying you got a divorce, and whoever was on the old account has moved out 😅
A FATAL Mistake
the issue ... isn't just that it's ... horrifically racist and misogynistic, it's also a terrible game
It's funny, but it seems like I read this phrase a lot, and not just about games (book series, movies, shows, etc). I can't think of any other good examples off the top of my head, but it seems that every time an artist takes a really cool or interesting concept and fills it with bigotry, they also fill it with poorly written mechanics, potholes, clunky dialogue...
Sure, there's media with language that doesn't age well, but it seems like 9/10, when something is made with blatant hate, there isn't even an incentive to try to push past or ignore it; the content is garbage with or without the drivel. The initial concept is just good enough to get people to want to give it a shot.
If you're into heavier stuff, Christian metal is generally really fucking good.
As is the theme of the thread, a lot of these bands don't consider themselves "Christian bands", but hey.
August Burns Red - pretty popular, their music has a wide variety of influences in terms of sound but every album but their very first is very solid and consistent imo. Their drums and breakdowns kick ass; listen to "Defender" and "Bloodletter".
Devil Wears Prada - also relatively popular, their style changed a little bit in the more recent years but there are songs on almost every album of theirs that I enjoy. "Sassafras" is a good older song, "Salt" is a good new one.
Silent Planet - probably the most thought out and intentional lyrics you'll find in metal. A majority of their songs include footnotes to every line, indicating what historical event, biblical passage, or other artist's work they're referencing. "Panic Room" and "Northern Fires" are great examples of their sound and message.

Great way to put it. I'm close to OPs age, and while I won't say I'm "falling apart" to the extent they are, things definitely are starting to have consequences. Sleep deprivation was the most shocking; used to be able to get 4-6 hours of sleep for several consecutive days of activity, then sleep on over the weekend and be completely fine. Now, if I get less than 7, chances are pretty good that I'm not gonna have a great day tomorrow.
Oh, easy, that's:

I'm still running my 1080 (non-TI), I've wanted to upgrade since the 30x0 series but couldn't justify the cost... Definitely not gonna get any better.

Always has been.
