on reddit mods acted like petty tyrants and were bastions of censorship. What prevents lemmy from going down the same rabbit hole?

  • gonna agree with conditioning - we've been indoctrinated (by society) to behave in certain ways - like "men dont cry", etc (they do). people acting in certain ways in certain situations is normal - and expected. we've been programmed to expect it and respond to it.

    who are they going to sue? an IP address is not a legitimate source used to identify an individual.
    other than being raided and your electronic media being seized, the feds (or whomever) dont really have foot to stand on - and even then you'd still have to be found guilty by a jury.
