  • I just went through the car buying process the other day and it was between a Odyssey Luxury or EX-L. Honestly I hated all the space age dash shit they tried to cram into the Luxury version so I went EX-L. Was definitely one of the deciding factors exspecially considering it cost 10k more for basically only tech upgrades that I would never use. Ridiculous.

  • I actually dropped my other subs (Netflix, Deezer) in favor of the YouTube family plan. My kids watch a ton of Minecraft vids and I don't really care to have them digesting all those ads. My wife also uses it a lot and I get a music service that just works with all my casting devices flawlessly.

I also love the ad free experience when I use a how to video etc.

  • Also, where's my damn audiobook support!

  • What one are you using that is outdoor rated?

  • It's all good, it's a Kasa KP200 rated at 15A / 1875W. Heater is actually only a 500W.

It's in a treehouse and I wanted something low wattage so it was safe to touch.

  • I recently added a heater on a smart outlet and toggled it on and off vs a BLE Temp / Humidity sensor from Govee.

You could do something similar based on your needs and comforts.

  • I'm running the go2rtc addon to create a camera dashboard in home assistant. I basically use onboard SD card storage for my recordings and don't have a need for a full blown NVR. The cameras have motion triggers within home assistant so I can trigger automations if I want with that.

  • I run Reolink cameras at home and like them fine. Have three cameras and two doorbells.

Might depend on what you want to do with them though.

Also, can you elaborate on what you mean by flashed sonoff plugs and pre-flashed kauf bulbs? Feel like I'm missing something fun there.

  • What I think is weird about folks hatin on the Genshin Community is it's essentially a single player game. There is no community really outside of social media. I would say social media is the problem.

  • I had to do some testing for work the other day (don't ask) on a Windows 2003 server. This would have saved me 12 hours of banging my head to get the thing patched to current.

Between root certificates and no support for modern TLS, it's a legit nightmare to get working. I pity the folks that still run production workloads on these operating systems.

Edit: I see 2003 is not yet released for this project but there is another one called Legacy Update that works for 2003.

  • Get a custom launcher, change the gestures for swiping up, profit.

  • Personally I like the Lenovo Mini Systems. Have three right now. Mostly use the AMD ones with built in Radeon and my kids do Minecraft on them. But they also make great mini servers. Lots of folks use the Intel versions for Plex servers with quicksync. Some versions will also fit a pci card for 10gb or quad nics.

  • Nice try pickpocket.

  • I host and use SearXNG at home. It's a search engine aggregator that combines results from multiple search engines (including Bing). It also doesn't track your searches.

There are some hosted instances you can use as well, but I recommend hosting it yourself if you can.

  • Will be checking this out, thanks!

  • Second moccamaster. Makes the best drip coffee I've ever had and if something does go wrong they sell all the parts. But it probably won't go wrong.

  • Basically that's the exact system I use for my unRAID NAS. Works great for me. I can't speak to the transcoding capabilities because I use a VM on another box for that, but I have a boat load of other docker services running via unRAID and it works fantastic.

  • Just did this exact setup last week. Loving it.
