i'm 40 years old and just had ALL my teeth extracted in one go. The pain is excruciating. Any tips for pain relief?

I don't know the specifics around this case but if for instance The President ordered protesters to be "taken care of" and they were killed, or even in the more realistic situation where police used excessive force, is it not possible that someone could sue the federal government for violating their rights? And I don't mean first amendment rights but whatever case law prevents the use of excessive force (in addition to 1A supporting it). Would a reasonable judge find that even the President is permitted to violate human rights (I'm realizing how stupid this sounds as I type it) when there is no perceived threat?
Everyone has thrown around the example of POTUS killing anyone for any reason but is that an actual legit thing? I have a very hard time believing this would be the case in reality.
They're really running with dramatic and misleading headlines here. From what I've gathered, the actual story is at the very bottom of the page.
The former president was initially named as a defendant in the case solely in his official capacity, which would not allow for a financial award.
However, in March, U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich gave the plaintiffs permission to amend their suit to seek damages from Trump. The suit was amended to name him personally liable the following month.
The JD is agreeing that if Trump were found personally liable, the fed would foot the bill. This is very strange and has little to no hope of success for the plaintiffs given, as flying squid mentioned, the recent SCOTUS decision. I would think they should have stuck with suing The President rather than Trump even if that meant no financial reward.
Here’s what I’ve shared with my company.
How about prominent leftists take center stage? Real leftists
Let's try this again...
LIKE WHO?
Edit: It's been a day and I'm still waiting to learn who is left enough.
I don't understand the downvotes. Am I supposed to know the answer to this? If so, I apologize for being a dummy.
COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHO IS A "REAL LEFTIST"??
I guess that's it.
I mean, it's not a trick question. I genuinely want to know.
I don't have a problem with people being passionate about topics. It's important. It's also important to be somewhat informed or at least able to pull rational facts before you go on about something. And it's important to understand you'll never know everything going on about a subject or in the minds of others from your keyboard. Don't let your emotions blind you - allow them to propel your curiosity and intellectual growth.
Ok... that's a wholly unsubstantiated opinion from some random nobody. Is this a joke?
As I sit on @AOC lying about Harris ‘working tirelessly towards a ceasefire’, the angrier I get. It’s not just a lie, it is complete historical and moral revisionism meant to cleanse Harris of any and all culpability in the genocide of the Palestinians.
But there’s more.
AOC is ostensibly speaking to young progressives when she says this — meaning she is weaponizing that positionality to bring votes for a woman who’s done nothing but back Israel & its genocide. And if Harris is ‘working tirelessly towards a ceasefire’ - then what has she been doing for the past ten months, as second in command?
What does Harris as VP have the power to do or not do..?
The Democrats are unwilling & unable to approach this contradiction because it dismantles Harris as a capable candidate. Jayapal told me she had just spoken to Harris that day (Saturday) that I spoke to her. There is no ‘tireless work towards a ceasefire’ happening with Harris.
No. Of course not. If that's the only issue, or even top 20 issues, you think that matters to most people, you are either a very privileged, delusional, or malinformed person. In most polling, the country has been divided in half about the war to begin with.
July - https://news.gallup.com/poll/646955/disapproval-israeli-action-gaza-eases-slightly.aspx
Do you approve or disapprove of the military action Israel has taken in Gaza?
42% approve, 48% disapprove (+6%, -7% since March).
For the third time, if AOC is not left enough, then who?
Again, most Americans have more than one issue on their minds. If all you care about is one thing, that's great for you but you're not having a conversation about whether a congress person being left enough.
Again, if not AOC, then who is left enough?
Actually, I'm not able to because X is paywalled. Nor do I care to read what some random on that shit platform has to say. If you have some actual reports from actual journalists that corroborate that Harris has done nothing, in contrast to the actual news reports I've offered, please share.

As much as I hate the bump, I would absolutely prefer that the design were at least symmetrical to offer that balance.
This helps me understand where you're getting your information. Thanks.
Forgive me if I don't give a flying fuck about what some "media critic" on "X" has to say.
First, there's more than one issue on the minds of Americans. I hope you, like the gun rights people and the abortion people, can see that.
Second, the Biden administration and Harris, especially in the context of the DNC, are now different things so both statements could be true.
Third, what makes you say it's untrue that Harris “is working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.”?
And, what makes you say this is the only thing a politician has fabricated or misconstrued? I mean, you just sound like a delusional Trumper.
March 3 https://www.npr.org/2024/03/03/1235712368/kamala-harris-gaza-ceasefire-israel-aid
Vice President Kamala Harris on Sunday called for an immediate, temporary cease-fire in Gaza to facilitate a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, and pressed Israel to do more to increase the flow of aid to alleviate the "immense scale of suffering" among Palestinians. Her remarks are some of the strongest made by a senior U.S. official regarding the protection of civilians in Gaza.
The original draft of Harris’ speech, when it was sent to the National Security Council for review, was harsher on Israel about the dire humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and the need for more aid than were the remarks she ultimately delivered, according to one of the current officials and the former official.
July 25 https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/25/harris-netanyahu-israel-cease-fire-00171315
Vice President Kamala Harris met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in private Thursday and followed it with a strikingly forceful call on his government to get a cease-fire deal done and ease the suffering of civilians in Gaza.
July 26 https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/25/politics/harris-netanyahu-israel-hamas-ceasefire/index.html
far-right members of the Israeli cabinet have pushed against a deal, criticizing pressure from Harris to secure one.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday that Israel has accepted a proposal to bridge differences holding up a cease-fire and hostage release in Gaza
Finally, if not AOC, who is "left enough" for you?

I'm going to respectfully disagree with (not downvote) you and argue that these are the reasons I hate the camera bump. I can not stand it rocking on the table. I can not stand it getting in the way and caught on things. I also never use a case.

I agree with you and fully support your campaign to de-bump phone cameras.
I'm still on an iPhone 12 Mini because (in addition to there not being a reasonably sized phone anymore) the camera assembly on the 13 Mini is bigger and looks like shit IMO.
Also, I have gone case-less for all go my phones going back to the OG iPhone. So don't come at me about not noticing a bump when you have a case. I effing hate that the camera makes the phone sit cocked on the table so much that I usually put it face down.
I think it's absolutely ridiculous what they've done and for barely any perceptible difference, in most cases. I could understand the 'pro' models having a substantially better camera(s). For normies taking snapshots of their food and their fam and scanning QR codes, there's no need.
Frankly, any 'pro' wouldn't be using their phone for professional purposes anyway. I often carry a small camera with me in addition to my phone just because even the best phone camera can't compete with a decent camera - because physics.
Still, I respect and support anyone who wants to take pictures and make videos with their cell phone. I love that practically anyone on the planet has the ability to take their phone out of their pocket and produce a short film.
For an actual answer, physics. There's a mathematical formula to determine how far away the lens needs to be from the sensor based on the size of the lens and the image sensor. The wider the sensor and lens are, the better the image quality and the further they need to be from each other.
start actually giving a fuck
I see what you did there 👏
I'm not sure if I'm misremembering this but I feel like he was relatively reasonable for the majority of his career until the likes of Springer and came along. My immediate reaction upon seeing this was that he was a huge dick. But I don't recall if he was always that way or if it was more of an act in the later years of his show.
enriched himself through his family’s business ventures and concealed his mishandling of classified information in office
Excuse me!? Who is this in reference to??
Someone remind me… didn’t Joe Biden drop out of the race? Wouldn’t that mean that this transparent political hit job was a colossal waste of time on the part of the Republicans?
If someone is guilty of a crime, they should be held accountable. I don't know if that requires congress to be involved or the FBI or what but if Biden did what they say he did (for which they've found no evidence) he should 100% be impeached and prosecuted. I don't care how old you are or what your job is or how long ago you were president. The rules apply to everyone. Not just the people you don't like. However, it would seem the Supreme Court has already determined this case is baloney.
If the Republicans want to waste time and money, they should be held accountable by journalists and the people who vote them into office should be made aware of their misdeeds. Sadly, most republican voters don't really care about reality or corruption in their own party as much as vengeance. The GOP has zero political agenda other than hating and oppressing others.
I remember when this was signed. My jaw dropped when I read it while I knew it would get swept under the rug and forgotten about. I specifically said to myself, this is a ruthless attempt to set up the democrats to look bad after his first term.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. We should be taking a very hard look at why it is.
Did you and your doctor not have this conversation!?
Or are you more inclined to listen to the internet over the person who's job it is to pull all your teeth out of your head?
Answer: Oxy.
