  • Nice!! Share your results with us if you want to. B)

  • I just use konsole , which is the default terminal emulator for KDE. I don't need anything fancy, just something basic to run commands, updates, a few scripts, etc.

  • My name's Lazlow and you're on Chatterbox! Thanks for calling in.

    ...

I'm a first time caller. I wanted to say something about these videogames, they are warping our kids minds. My sons dog, Bugle, got hit by a truck, and he says mommy, mommy, where's the reset button?

  • I hope Steve is doing okay since his wife passed. RIP beautiful wife. (That's what he calls her.)

  • Steve just camps in unconventional ways. My favorite is him building a fake billboard and camping next to a busy highway behind it. And the brew is just... just what Steve does. Step #2.

  • Decaf coffee has small amounts of caffeine in it. Not any noticeable quantity (to your average person, that is), but if someone is caffeine sensitive they may notice issues from it.

  • I would recommend pretty much any Japanese vehicle. Look closely at Honda or Toyota. I have had good experiences with Hondas, personally.

I want to be that person posting a picture of the odometer hitting 300k miles.

I am at ~280k in my Honda Insight, my dad is ~320k in his Accord, and my mom is at ~400k in her Odyssey. My husband is at ~186k in his Civic, but he doesn't drive much.

  • What. I would argue these three "fads" are still extremely prevalent in the US.

  • Another vote for your answer. I just can't be bothered to troubleshoot Wayland on Void if X11 just works already for my purposes.

  • Perth (and WA in general) has been near the top of my list since searching about this stuff. Second would be between somewhere in Tassie or Melbourne. Got a lot of research to do.

  • Australia apparently is closing its doors.

Oh wow, where did you see that?

  • I aspire to do the same! Hoping to escape to Australia one day from the US.

What sort of costs did you see completing higher education in Aus as an international student? I am currently going for a Bachelor's in the States in an industry that is on the Aussie in-demand list, thinking of seeing if I can get a job with an Australian employer or continuing my education in Australia after finishing this degree.

Feel free to ignore me BTW.

  • That's not an infinity, it's a lemniscate!

  • I immediately checked post history to see what was up with that lmao.

  • I just checked my settings, seems that when I close the lid, it is set to sleep. Running cat /sys/power/mem_sleep returns s2idle [deep] , whatever that means. I just leave it at the default settings. Perhaps I am just lucky?

  • T480s here as well, running Void Linux. I just close the lid and whatever it does barely uses any battery. Something like 2-4% every 24 hours.

  • First and second generation did. (1998-2006)

  • Red capsicum (are you from AUS?) are red bell peppers in the US, just for confirmation. (=

  • Bluey. Yes, the kid's show with the talking Aussie dogs. Good show, all around! Great music.

    Shameless plug, !bluey@lemmy.world
