  • I switched to auto mode after listening to the huberman labs podcast ep on eye health

  • Haha that's fair. Honestly though they make legitimately good products and while some of the stuff they have written on there is a bit cuckoo, it seems well meaning and some of the ideas they present (e.g. taking care of the earth and each other) are actually good

  • Arguably lemmy is currently in the non-self aware stage of circlejerks with all the screenshot memes

  • Tbh tho, I'm not even in very good shape but i can tell from the progress i have made that having a fit body is way more of a smooth luxury ride

  • Gotta be careful reading those dr bronners, you might get sucked in to the cult

  • Could also be flipped with the caption "when i see someone dying over a stupid meme"

  • That's actually really cool, thanks for sharing!

  • Anybody know of a true vital news community?

  • I mean yeah for a whole host of reason we should shut down animal agriculture. But until we can make that happen people shouldn't support it. People don't support it for no reason but they do almost always support it for bad reasons like habit/tradition and sensory pleasure

  • blue lizard sunscreen sticks are my favorite. They're really lightweight so great for hiking, vegan/not tested on animals, reef safe, they last a long time, since it's a stick you can't get goop anywhere accidentally, and they don't make my skin feel gross at all like most sunscreen does for me. I've never felt any burn in my eyes when sweating. They're kinda expensive but imo worth it

  • Teaching all religions is definitely important. Teaching that christian creationism is just as likely/plausible as evolution is a big problem

  • You don't understand what it's like for people who love to fiddle with settings and options without knowing what they do

  • Sure, except i don't have time to be a proper mod (and that includes due diligence in vetting new mods) so it's easiest to just let the old reddit mods have it. I haven't started any communities but i definitely understand why people would want the reddit mods to retake control of a given community, and if i do start one i'd put that in the description as well
