the thing youre missing about the fediverse.. if a community does not approve of a mod they can literally pick up and move their community to a new community or even a different instance altogether.
this has happened at least a few times.
moderation is a necessary management tool, and yes, it is certainly abused.. but the fediverse gives us the ability to tell mods to go fuck themselves.
theres the https://lemmy-federate.com/ service where instances can 'pre-subscribe' communities to each other automatically. this allows local noobs to be able to find remote groups by just checking whats available on their 'home' instance.
theyve spent decades building the propaganda machine for this purpose. control the narrative -> control the bootlickers... whats the rest of the population going to do? hold those signs up harder??
he wants the country to be 'at war' so all those wartime laws that give him more power come into affect. he can lockdown the entire country and claim that when a democrat sneezes its a national security issue, and oh look at that, this ancient law says he can lock citizens up.
that and he is a literal russian asset destabilizing the united states on behalf of putin.
i hate when they phrase it like trump isnt doing exactly what the GOP wants. this is a republican attack on education. they are all 100% complicit in everything this piece of shit does, and it should be phrased as such.
blocking/not blocking doesnt 'allow' them anything cept maybe free rent in your brain... doesnt affect them at all.
i tend to ignore them. my blocklist is very small
