  • There's also at least one article (well the only one I found was more recent in 2016 could have sworn I knew one from the 2000s, no amount of water in the one I read) out there of someone dying from drinking too much water while high. I want to say it was like 1-2 gallons in a fairly short amount of time, a few hours or something.

That said I've been high a ton and never got close to that amount of water so stay hydrated just don't down like a gallon in a couple hours, even extremely dehydrated I'm fairly certain our bodies aren't meant to process that amount of water, though too lazy to check amounts.

  • If you could only play it when you rented the game, it was more difficult to memorize. Unfortunately none of my friends owned it, I rented it semi often but can probably only passed the level under 10times. Even thinking back I can remember the exhilaration of passing it. Course I kinda suck at games and after dying at the level would find something else to do rather than keep playing. This is someone who loved the turtles back then too, only reason I'd keep renting it.

  • I'm in my mid 40s huge geek, programmer, gamer...I never had a huge calling to join those platforms. I was always a more forum type. Admittedly I checked out the sites from links of Reddit and such, but never had an urge to join them for anything, probably due wanting to read more conversational type input from others. Maybe I missed out but seems like being an old foggie sort of won out in the end with what I'm reading these days.

I'm sure there was decent conversations on some of the platforms as well, so not saying they were always bad just wasn't something that I had an urge to put time into, mostly so I could game more heh.

  • As a kid I saw it as an arrow pointing, it points to the small number. That's how I remembered it. I can now understand it 'facing' the big number but it was never pointing any direction other than the point, which is to the smaller one. Now I understand it eats the bigger one but it took awhile to see it as anything but an arrow point, if they drew them with teeth I'd have understood the eating better as a kid but I don't think any teacher did that. I never had trouble understanding overall so wasn't an issue.

  • I could feel my dread go as I heard that lines over the years, as a young teen? Of course we will we always have, we endure. As a middle aged adult? I'm not so sure we aren't going to shove ourselves back to the cave man era and not enough people will listen to anyone with survival knowledge for the species to survive.

Then I think about how many species that must have and will happen to in this vast universe, so we'll probably be an average result heh in the grand scheme of things that is.

  • Eventually you realize you forget almost as much as you learn, it's like a bilge pump in a sinking boat. Then you focus on what you want to remember and come to acceptance with that.

  • Yeah like you couldn't botch a worldwide pandemic worse than he did but enough Americans seemed to think he deserved another term. I only hope one of the other random viruses don't get out of control again..cause that's what stops them, hope right?

  • The speeder scenes rocked, the few times I got to play the game on that in an arcade it was definitely closer to actually riding at death defying speeds in a semi open forest area, and it wasn't a quarter game either if I recall.

The score with the final lightsaber scene makes it great as well though in my books. Without the same music it wouldn't have worked nearly as well...though that's probably the same for a lot of the scenes. As great as the movie is I can still just listen to the music on its own, used to even on vinyl back in the day, Dad's soundtrack and my fisher price record player lol.

  • After listening to the book a half dozen times or so, I came to the thought it's like poetry in novel form, the prose can be beautiful and horrid in emotions. Case is high as often as he can and he's the lens we see most things through so everything is a bit surreal. So I'm guessing that's agreeing with you calling it an art house novel it that's close to what you meant.

It's one of my favourite novels of all time, I only wish I read it when it was newer, only got it like 10 years ago and I was prime age to read it in the 90s. Oh well, glad I got around to it.

  • Often I really do while playing games. Sometimes I love a good intricate or full of social commentary games, other times I just want to move my mouse and watch things die when I press a button. Though it has to look pretty at the very least if it's the latter type.

  • What is he supposed to do? I mean there's lots but in relation to tarrifs from the US? Should he just ask if the US wants Canada to be a part of the US to avoid them? I also thought that came out before all the tariff articles so assumed it was because an election was coming up anyways. Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing to propose in general, it sounded like it'll help some of the lower income people which is a win in my books.
