  • Would have been funnier if it wasn't done by the current government of the most powerful armed forces in the world. That made it a bit more scary.

That said I still laughed cause at some point that's all you can do, and it was awfully embarrassing I bet. Many drinks were consumed and smelly farts (that one pic of the other lawyer's face from court was priceless) were produced after that presser I bet.

  • I checked earlier this year on BC's site and they were only recommending at risk people to get their 4th shot, curious if that changed or they were trying to ration current stock. Felt off cause everything else I read recommended 6 months but there wasn't an open sign up from what I saw like the earlier shots.

  • If you count an old hard drive I've always had that going, easiest to use your old app drives any reinstalls may go more quickly plus any media files on there. Though my media is mostly on my NAS, pictures tend to be on a local drive. I'm not sure I've ever done a new computer without an old drive and I've been doing this for like 25 years. Though I tend to move the old files to a newer drive before the next upgrade so not a true ship of thesus. Though most times the GPU upgrade is done at different times than the CPU/mobo/ram to keep it cheaper.

  • I completely agree with your comment. It's a bit of a slowdown from play when you search everything but at the same time if playing tabletop you'd have people trying random things that don't light up for interaction of a video game. In the end it's only a slight slowdown anyways and does add to immersion so it's not terrible but more a time waster is all.

I haven't looked at mods yet, I like to do a first playthrough vanilla usually but I completely forgot they were a thing here, so thanks for the reminder.

  • She does some performative acts to spout propaganda and lies to stir outrage. So while more than nothing not by much and not exactly what reps are supposed to be doing in a well functioning democracy. Hopefully the voters will be swayed enough to get her out.

Wasn't she also the one who submitted mileage expenses that didn't seem plausible? I sort of forget exactly what she vs the other troll (by actions) in the house did, neither seem to want to help the country.

  • Just scores of empty containers to check. I know they can't all have something but respecting my time would include minimizing having so many empty containers. That's about my only complaint so far though in that regard so it's not that bad or anything either.

  • If you enjoyed it and did a second watch through you see the immense world building they do in season 1 that ties into later season plots. On first watch through it sounds just like filler, or even just something specific the episode, but it wasn't as often as you'd think for a 90s show. Even though I grew up in the 80s and 90s I didn't watch Babylon 5 till about 10 years ago and I still found the first season rough, like close to TNG rough.

  • I find sex scenes awkward to enjoy, I kinda like the fade to black where it's implied but not delved into. That said so many novels that are aimed at a similar audience with sci Fi and fantasy have always had sex scenes (Necromancer, Hyperion, Expanse all have sex in them) When we were playing text based games back in the 80s we wanted a cinematic experience. What's the result? Games with sex in them. A new Leisure Suit Larry game is probably about due now that I think of it heh. I just click through and continue on.

  • Well it would be the perfect Trump response to know of Biden's crimes (not that there's any evidence of the current President commiting any) and then ask (edit: blackmail..again messed up, extort) Ukraine to help him rather than asking why the legal system is not taking action. Like what you'd expect the D student in class thinking is the correct response to a situation.

Of course then you have to forget that there were some people intelligent enough in the administration to figure it out.

  • From reading r/tolkienfans (yeah I know but have been reading for many years till recently) I think I read that Tolkien wasn't final with the orcs being corrupted elves, it was definitely in one of the drafts though. So can still work but maybe not definite is all. Also I am not sure on the timeline of drafts so maybe that was the last one in his works for them which would make it more likely.

  • Well shame on me, I won't do it again wink. Just was reading comments on Microsoft ending WordPad and someone mentioned 'as long as a browser is bundled'. Heh how times change.

For those that don't know Microsoft had an anti trust suit or something like that due to IE being a part of the OS. Though to be fair it's pretty hard to get your preferred browser without one to use, but probably not good to be too integrated with the OS rather than an optional component. Wonder how close Bing is to that these days, new computer at work is constantly showing Bing in the start menu like this is my computer not your fucking search results.

  • Wasn't there an anti trust or monopoly suite against Microsoft for bundled IE back in the day? Funny how times change, though I agree it's not easy to get a preferred browser without one. Mean it never was overly simple but they were on so many CDs mailed out back then. Think it has to do with some IE and Windows integration too so not just cause they bundled it.

  • I remember those days as having no Internet let alone high speed, I recall reading old ads for some PC games. So they don't seem as great as you're implying because at least the game will most likely be fixed with an accessible patch these days. You'd have to do a lot more work to get one before or completely wasted your money in rare cases.

Also usually publishers set the release date, though in this case I'm not sure if it was in house or not so may not be a point, though you called out developers so figured I'd add it in.
