  • Yeah but I'd expect more stories of telekinesis if it ever worked, so I only try sometimes. Once did the Jedi mind trick hand wave for fun while high, got a laugh but don't think they were swayed to whatever I suggested. Though was mostly hoping for a laugh at the time so got some success.

  • I took the comment you replied to as a topic of how we change as people rather than not wanting criminals to be punished. I do agree people who murder and commit other violent crimes should be punished but doing it nearly double the age you committed the crime at is like punishing a different person, assuming they grow like most people.

Again I want to state I don't think they should have been let off or treated lightly, murdering anyone let alone the more vulnerable is a heinous act and deserves stiff punishment if we want to remain a just society. Just wanted to comment on a more philosophical side where we mature and are rarely the same person 20 years later so there seems to be a bit of a gap in justice being done timely. I'd rather die sooner than living in prison for a couple decades but I say that who has never been so maybe my opinion doesn't meant much.

  • I'm in my mid 40s, mid 20s feels like a lifetime and a few different versions of myself in the past. A shame there's no way to give us this perspective when we're young, maybe some hallucinogens could help but I'd doubt it'd be the same. I couldn't even imagine myself at 40 when I was in my early 20s but that's how life goes for now.

  • I'm a Canadian who doesn't pay much attention to hockey (yeah I know), but fuck this decision. Everyone should be for inclusive rights to all members of society who respect others. No ands ifs or buts. Fuck people who don't agree, it's not in your face it's just people wanting to be treated as equals you fuckers. I'd say heaven forbid we welcome different people but that's already in the bible, not that these people read it.

  • So glad I live in Canada where I can just go online to my provincial supplier and order an oz if needed. If I need more it requires multiple orders unfortunately. I'm not sure if they make the postal person / letter carrier make two trips though (the limit is based off what you're supposed to be allowed to carry but how would they know if they got multiple ozs on them?). Also this is BC so may vary by province up here.

  • Yeah when your lawyers have to record you (believe it's something from Cohen's testimony) to have a backup of what you requested, you don't get the best lawyers. Trump would never hire someone that seems smarter them himself, he has to be the most intelligent person in the room (lol). No one intelligent would really act dumb enough to be hired by someone who is notorious for not paying, mean unless there's other factors but he's not getting a highly regarded and clean lawyer at this point.

  • As a joke explainer / ruiner, it's the misdirection of the punchline makes you think it's going one way then delivers a line from the movies, which was a joke line. Don't mind me, I've been dissecting language lately to see what make what's work. I haven't got as far as I'd hope for living this many years.

  • I have Fry doing the first book and Adams doing at least one othe book, I find Adams a bit flat but I do agree he does a good job. I listened to one of the Freeman read books and it didn't feel quite right but he's probably closer to Adams than Fry. That said I enjoyed Fry's Harry Potter readings many times so that may influence my preference. Generally I think authors will give their intended inflections in the reading which does help with the feel of a book.

  • I enjoyed Needful Things narrated by him, don't think The Stand I listened to was by him though. I do agree On Writing is a good choice by him, helps it's about King too. Of course Needful Things starts with a couple of Maine old timers sounding like they're talking on a porch which his accent conveys very well. The first narrator for the Dark Tower series did Roland perfectly, was more difficult when they had to switch and definitely wouldn't want King instead, though it'd almost make sense if you know the story.

  • I am curious how they'd translate it myself, I recall the first game vividly as new and thinking it was awesome. Though I assume the next game wouldn't be marketed for me either. An updated drug scene would be interesting, haven't had a good one since one of the Batman games. I probably missed some drug sequences but Max Payne's was pretty effed up at the time.

  • I was so disappointed when Gaetz (almost forgot to include the name, have to be specific when talking about Republicans) wasn't charged after all the venmo stuff came out. Like it seemed there was evidence that he should have at least been charged and had a trial. Unless I missed something else after that completely absolved him of ties with the sex trafficking guy who he was apparently buddy with.

  • I never noticed many bugs and had 93 hours in the game under two starts, never finished it though, to be fair I don't finish most games so not much of a difference there. Was playing today and was reminded how gorgeous it is. I love cyberpunk as a genre and have a half decent video card (3070) and the neon, reflections, smoke all look like some of the best of not the best I've seen in my 39ish years of gaming. The downside is at 1080p (yeah I know) is the hair looks distorted/crimped close up (mostly bangs and end of the hair) but still looks better overall than any hair I recall and the rest is all eye candy.

Oh guess I should add, it really does feel like a cyberpunk world should, least to me. The setting is perfect for me but I'm sure there's flaws I haven't noticed.

  • I agree but I think it took about this long from Cyberpunk released till there was a better outlook on No Man's Sky and I bought both at release, I enjoyed both, but I'd say at release Cyberpunk was a better game at launch (I didn't have any bugs I got lucky). NMS did much more work on content in the following years to where it's barely the same experience. Has been awhile since I restarted Cyberpunk will do for 2.0 though. Maybe I haven't caught much newer content and they added it but it seemed updates were tweaks / fixes than content.
