  • I think Christie was someone who Trump wanted to be VP, until Trump's plane had 'maintenance' issues and Trump was forced to stick around for a meeting with Pence which was Manafort's pick for VP.

Then Christie was put to overseeing the transfer team, which Trump shut down and yelled at Christie because they raised so much money for the transition that Trump wanted for himself. Christie of course tried to explain the money was needed for a proper transfer but we all know how that went. There's an article about that bit for those that may not have seen it.

  • There was room for a row at the bottom too that wouldn't block the middle area view, I don't know css extremely well but I figured they could put that row horizontal down there without much hassle and give a better view. Of course then you don't get reminded to click on a social link, ugh.

  • I think it can show that everyone needs critical thinking skills, which unfortunately is what some don't want as opposed to blind followers. Like you can pull one lever (religion, race, etc) it means every action is justified.

  • That slogan only counts when they're not breaking the law, then they're making things right.

The sad part is the second part could be taken from freedom fighters under a repressive regime and be thought of as a good fight, not that I think this is comparable but I'm sure people that are getting prison sentences and many of their friends do. It'd be nice if they at least had a coherent argument backed up by facts but I haven't seen much so far. Just parroting talking points by right wing shills out to make a buck.

  • Like 'Mr Trump Jr.' doesn't spend most days hoping he'll make his father not regret naming him junior, kinda like Mr Trump senior's father relation if I've understood things, though in senior's case I think it's just getting the name Trump. They're worse than the Bluths and not nearly as funny to watch. Not to mention much less Ron Howard voiceovers which doesn't help their amusement.

Just wanted to add, for those that don't know (probably not needed but still) Arrested Development was a comedy about a rich family of real estate types that had their comeuppance, well I'm foggy on the outcome but they had law troubles due to some light treason, and other shady issues. If you've read this far just watch it on Netflix it's one of the most clever comedies you'll come across, if you enjoy British humour from an American angle.

  • If you somehow managed to reach into a beehive multiple times without being stung you'd probably think you'll never be stung. It shows why the law can't ignore white collar crimes, you get people like Trump who have never faced real consequences for their actions. I'm pretty sure it's compunded by his narcissism but then you get into sensitive situations because now he's a public figure. Trump should never have been a sensitive situation for the law, he's a criminal and has always been one but they're treating him softer than someone in traffic court where the ticketing officer isn't even there.

  • Also pretty sure I saw a headline that Russia is pleased with the new speaker (think it was from a 'news' source there). Though Russia is the number one shit disturber so who knows, they'd say whatever causes more chaos in the nations they're against. The new speaker seems like their kinda guy though.

  • 48 hours is too long to blame on an acid trip usually (from my experience) let alone a mushroom trip. Maybe doses and potency were different but I've done up to 4 tabs of acid and 1/4 oz of shrooms (different trips) both with some bud smoked, and never had much effect after I slept. From acid sleeping took much longer but not over 40 hours, I wasn't at a rave doing amphetamines or anything. Not those nights anyways.

I will say people are different and I was well down the road of experimentation by the time I did those strongest trips.

Oh forgot to add if they didn't sleep that would really fuck someone up. I used to party for days and I made day 3 my limit for good reason, so 48 hours is start of day 3.

  • Yup even if you get top of the line everything PC games usually aren't meant to be maxed out settings at launch. A high resolution really takes a toll on the hardware too. Of course not every game is like this but for the most part they don't want the games to look outdated after two years. It's always fun revisiting games after a PC upgrade because of this. Though since even the devs or publisher said that they didn't hit performance targets this is noticably worse performance, least from all the articles I've seen. I enjoyed the first city skylines except the traffic so am looking forward to buying when it gets optimized.

  • The Republican party: please see us as the victims even if we've directly cultivated this outcome. How would we know it may cause us problems and not the Democrats? Seriously this isn't our fault, the government is only on hold due to Democrats not voting for a speaker. Send donations so we can get more Republicans to argue with next term.

  • You played it like 20 years too late, for the record I was about 20 when it was released. Yes there were slogs but couch co-op at the time was fantastic with Halo, multiplayer was much improved with Xbox live and not really there for the first one. There was some way to connect to play with people on the Internet but it wasn't simple.

Even with the slog areas (Library), with my buddies we played through coop so many times I'm pretty sure I did it solo on legendary a few times solo. I want to say this was one of the first games with regenerating shields for an fps (maybe first but my memory is fuzzy) which people mostly take for granted these days. If I recall you needed health still but that stopped later in the series too. Today I'd probably only play it for nostalgia and have been tempted to pick up the master chief collection to do that.

I see how you can think that playing it first today, but for the time it was something else.

  • Last time I went to McDonald's there was a mess up and I was given the cash difference, I really dunno when I'll use it offhand. I'm also in Canada, never had a use for cash after recreational weed happened. Weird they make someone go through unknown keypressss to do cash, vending machines do cash why not just be convenient for customers? Oh right, paying people to deal with the cash, cause that'd hurt McDonald's bottom line heh.

  • So I only watch YouTube on my PS4 since I watch it on my gaming TV. Are these ads the two they want to show while watching a video, usually around 6 mins between ads, though that seems to change depending how popular the uploader is, maybe settings from the uploaders too, I dunno the specifics but have been curious. Many times can skip in the second one after 5 seconds, first one is usually 15, but they seem to play around with it, sometimes skip the first ad after 5 or sometimes have to watch 2 x 15 second ones, or is there another ad rotation on PC I'm not aware of? I'm just curious since I rarely do a PC one but they are annoying. Annoying to the point I mute and consciously don't watch anything on the screen except for the ad skip being available. Usually hit it but sometimes stuffing the vaporizer I miss the first one then have to wait for the second to become available.

Personally it's not horrible but it'd be nice if I knew ahead of time which format they wanted. I'm also older,I assume if something was done like this in the 90s we'd be seeing full ad breaks like that time in broadcasting so I've been beaten down by ad acceptance as much as I try and ignore them. Trying to say even if it bothers me I sort of got used to ads all the time anyways.

  • I think we're saying a similar thing, your first reply was a bit flippant is all. I didn't mean to give the impression that people shouldn't be punished after years of growth, it was just a comment on how long it can take to give the final punishment, seems a bit cruel.

  • No of course not, but the impact on life (themselves, others) and the fact this will haunt someone for as long or longer than they've have solid memories (you remember from about 5ish with better clarity?) just means the person being executed is not really the same person who did the crimes, in a growing maturity way. I'm not saying they don't deserve their sentence but if they could see with a mid life perspective before the crime I bet many minds would change from commiting many crimes. It's one thing to know it's wrong it's another thing to have an understanding of the long lasting impact their actions have. Maybe it wouldn't mean much to many criminals but I think some perspective would help before they did something that altered many people's lives.
