  • I ordered a similar one but in 97 in Canadian dollars, near Aug for University. The 17" flat screen (crt flat) alone was $1400, I think the total was close to $4k.

This does seem a bit on the high side though I agree. I think mine was a P2 200, 32MB RAM and matrix millennium card. Maybe their processor was the top end at the time which could account for a higher price. I think that hard drive was really big for the time, 8GB in 98? I may be misremembering too.

  • Reminds me of the South Park episode The Douche.

Paraphrased but basically, yes we all hear voices in our head but its just our inner monologue you douche.

What if I really believe I hear voices?

    Then you're a stupid douche.

  • The only argument I can see is maybe if the grant (whatever it is called) only covers for partial, so like if the government adds in $10k, then that shouldn't be the same as them funding the whole thing (this number is not exact I got no idea on true amounts). So some leeway but they shouldn't get a full patent if taxpayers money is used on it for sure.

Though then you'll get some creative accounting to show the government spent less percentage than thought and all that so it sucks but something needs to make sure taxpayers get what they paid for.

  • Wonder if they'll include time stamps on the footage or just find the angles that work best for the time stamps to try and show it 'wasn't that serious'. Either way I'm sure it'll reinforce many people's view that it was not a riot or insurrection. I don't think this is true (just thinking how they will spin it), I'm Canadian and was quite worried for the US that day, well more than the usual days of Trump anyways. Trying to compare it for when people only look at news that help them feel satisfied with their view rather than properly look at evidence. One thing Republicans can do is spew propaganda in their favour and their base will nod in agreement.

  • Yeah I was thinking the name wasn't really important to the group working, I could be wrong but I sort of assumed most people didn't really know the group name pushing all the crap they do at the local level. Heck a new name makes it sound like more people want the same thing and the idea is popular. I bet it barely phases their efforts, hopefully people vote otherwise though. For the record I'm in Canada so I only see the big news stories about them, I could be wildly incorrect on all of this.

  • Narcassists always want to frame things so it doesn't sound like they did anything wrong. Why everyone needs to be educated to see these actions for what they are, a flailing billionaire that thinks everyone should just agree with them cause they're rich and give them more money, least in this instance.

  • I tried some online stuff (no friends and just casual play) with V and it wasn't interesting at all to me. Mean the story wasn't stellar in V but I had enough fun through single player. Hopefully they put at least the same effort in VI's single player. Though with all the companies wanting more money I bet there'll be more focus for online from the start this time.

  • I'm a lefty so this may be incorrect but I think you also want to keep good tension on the paper while you do it. If that's not a thing, then oops. Sometimes the glide works, the other 80% it bunches up about halfway through so I tend to try a few times then just give up. Also I assume it works opened more because the scissors tend to be sharper closer to the handle where they're less used, in case that helps anyone figure out the sweet spot. So just do what usual leftys do, make the contact between scissor blades pull together with a good grip, have a nice tension on the paper and push it through slowly. Then get annoyed when it rips after it working once.

  • Just think how many of his crimes haven't been investigated enough to be indicted for? He commits more crimes before breakfast than most people do over their life. My favourite is, he couldn't even donate (or was it pay for dues?) to boy scouts without commiting a crime ... Cause he paid with charity funds or something similar that wasn't his money, like $7 in 1989. Billionaire for sure, that $7 would be like us regular folk stealing a hundredth of a penny or something, I didn't do the math but it's smaller than his hands anyways.

  • I didn't realize a prosecutor could just get the judge changed by asking. Apparently in the US when you get a lifelong position you're assumed to be squeeky clean and will rule without prejudice. Mean yes if it's obvious but we see how well Cannon has been working for Trump.

Delay? Oh why not, let's make it four, four what? Just fill in the time period defense attorney and we'll resume then. Objection? Let's hold today's proceedings in case I missed a reason why I can dismiss the case. She's just skirting her duties to make sure it doesn't look worse than it can to try and keep her job. Yes that's a hyperbole but she may as well just tell the defense what she needs to hear to rule in her favour.

  • I thought one decision on a previous case was overruled for the judge but what were the other decisions she's been reprimanded for? Not trying to sound antagonist just I only heard of a single instance a higher court impacting her and was a previous case, the only thing that comes up for her with reprimand was when she reprimanded Jack Smith, but it was recent so that's probably why. Mean I do hope she was, if anyone was more pronounced for carrying water for Trump they'd have pole indents in their shoulders from the work.

  • Being older I've really only known Parker as Spider-Man, don't even think I've watched any animated with Morales yet. The Miles Morales game kinda felt like a Gen-Z Parker to me, in the way they updated to a younger character but almost all of his dialogue felt like it could come from Parker though of course their personal situation and known people are different. I was a bit hesitant on the change at first (harder to take change sometimes heh) but at about halfway through Miles Morales game now I feel quite satisfied with how the cutscenes and story have played out, he feels like a good successor to the hero. I'm sure many people have had similar reactions over the years, especially between gold-silver age comic choices. I've always known multiple Flash characters (once I started watching more animated shows) so this isn't much different.
