  • Fair point. It’s a bunk bed for my two kids. I’m sure there is still a way, but it’d probably require some engineering.

  • I can’t speak to closets, but I’ve heard of Montessori beds being placed directly on the floor. That’d at least eliminate monsters under the bed. I say that as a parent of a child with a bed raised above the floor…

For me, we need the space under the bed for clothing storage. One of the drawbacks of having 2 adults and 2 children in a 2 bedroom home. We need all of the closet and storage space we can get.

Edit: I went off on a tangent there. Definitely get what you’re suggesting.

  • Ah, I’m on the App Store version. I don’t use Mammoth a whole lot. At least not yet. Somewhere down the line I’ll probably test out some more apps. I’ve really only tried Mammoth and the official app so far.

  • I use Bean for Lemmy and Mammoth for Mastodon.

  • Overall things are well. I have a job that pays well, and a loving family. But I can’t help daydreaming about how life would be if I didn’t have to work anymore.

  • Thank you for the update!

  • Is there any update on the instances that were unintentionally defederated from lemmy.world? I know that one of the fanaticus.social admins was trying to get that sorted out.

  • Oh, I know. I was just quoting a skit

  • Blue cheese has mold in it.

  • Same (or similar) issue going on with fanaticus.social. Posts and comments haven’t federated between lemmy.world and fanaticus.social for about two weeks now. Hoping things get worked out soon, though I’m sure they have had their hands busy stopping attacks.

  • Those are all good things. I appreciate having a roof over my head, a full belly, and overall good health.

  • Miami Hurricane’s colors include green, also orange. OrangeNgreen likes University of Miami stuff.

  • Hmm weird, works on my end. But thanks for the extra one just in case!

  • I’ll be taking my daughter for a swim lesson, to be taught by yours truly. And then… no idea.

Edit: and apparently I haven’t had enough coffee yet. I’ll be doing this today, August 12. On August 10 I was working.

  • I think a good place to start is Casual Conversation. There’s no real pressure to force a topic there, and people can, quite literally, have a casual conversation to perhaps lead to organic growth.

  • That joke was week.
