  • We’re pretty boring. Nothing on it besides our lil whiteboard for notes. I’ve been using it to practice my handwriting for the kanji I have to teach next week

  • I truly don’t think I can appreciate it in any way. Genuinely one of the most upsetting and bad things I’ve ever read. I slogged through it exactly because it’s so revered, but damn I did not enjoy it

  • It was a tough decision for me too. Sherlock Holmes is the only one of the 4 that I don’t own, and I did really like the design. I might have to go back for it once the month is up.

  • Ooh! What’s it called? That sounds great!

I used one of my audible credits to get this narrated/voice acted version of Austen. People in the reviews are really mad because they had to take some very minor liberties with the exact wording here and there to make it work with the audiobook format. I’ve been really enjoying experiencing them in a new way though!

  • The design is only available with this bundle at T2! And only for this month! That’s what got me in the end. I’m a sucker for limited editions

  • Right? The only bad thing is it’s got gold foiling, so it can’t go in the microwave, which is terrible news for me and my habit of forgetting about hot drinks and having to reheat them.

  • Nothing particularly against the Brontës. If it was Jane Eyre, I’d be all over it like pash rash. It’s Withering Heights I take my umbrage with. Two of the worst characters/people doing things that really should land them in prison. They’re both emotionally, mentally and at times physically abusive to everyone around them. And it’s painted as a great love story. It’s also really fucking boring.

The Kate Bush song slaps though

  • Got myself a lil treat today and bought the t2xpenguine publishers set.

I actually really loved the withering heights design but I refuse to have the book in my house. So I’ve bought probably my 6th version of p&p. I’m so excited by it.

  • Ok, but the view from the second camera angle. Melbourne is so pretty.

Did we always have two camera angles? I didn’t follow that closely last year, but I thought the camera just panned depending on the side they nested on

  • Chameleon is such a fun board game! We play it a lot with our friends

  • Oh no. New neighbours moved in last week a few doors down. They have been playing extremely loud edm with a very intense bass for the last 2 hours now. It’s a Saturday, it’s not late, so I don’t mind them being loud or having a party, but I just went to put some rubbish out and there’s no party. No cars or people. Just really obnoxiously loud music. Which means they’re just listening to it like this for fun…

As long as they turn it off once it gets late. I hope they do. An incredibly elderly couple live directly across the road from them and I can imagine them getting pretty distressed by it at the level that it is right now, even.

  • Went to make a cuppa in the work kitchen and found a tray of arnotts biscuits on the table. The kingstons had already been raided, the SOBs. Got a Monte Carlo and a Nice, though 👌

  • Absolutely no one has asked, but I really rate Maccas’ new wasabi mayo dipping sauce. It doesn’t taste like either mayo or wasabi and it is a very offputting green, but it’s very tasty with chicken nuggets

  • So gorgeous. That belly is just asking to have a face buried in it. I love a standard issue cat - my old girl looked exactly the same. 😍

  • What’s for dinner?

Mr Omoikiri is away so I took the opportunity to just steam some veggies with a miso sesame dipping sauce

  • Yesterday I got an email from .nܿoܿrܿeܿpܿlܿyܿܿ-important@iܿrܿsܿ.ܿgܿoܿvܿܿ telling me that I was going to jail for tax evasion in America. Oops.

  • Glad to be of service :)

  • Took advantage of the weather and trimmed back the rosemary bush hedge out the front that was getting a bit overgrown and taking over the footpath a bit. The whole street smells like a roast now ✌️

  • How gorgeous is she??!!? I forget what variety she is. I’ll have to search through my garden journal to see.
