  • I do have one and I have a Mac with iTunes Match (iCloud music syncing for iPhone). That said I keep most of my actual files on my Ubuntu machine and might want to experiment with the iPod at some point.

  • For anyone who uses Apple Music, I recommend the Cider app. I believe it costs $3 and you get versions for Linux, Mac, and Windows.

I haven’t found any MP3 players on Linux that I’m totally happy with. All of them have some trivial issue (eg not displaying Album Artist correctly).

  • That would be ok if they did that. Tesla chargers are now the “NACS” North American Charging Standard, and should be common on 2025 and later EV models from other manufacturers. That said I’m guessing this will be more like the solar panels on the White House that Reagan removed when he moved in.

  • I think a lot of the problem is every tutorial expects Fedora/RedHat/Ubuntu/Debian and it’s easy to figure out which instructions are compatible with your distribution, but there isn’t a good knowledge base for Fedora Atomic or related OS. I have a Bazzite VM. Normally I use Ubuntu and am familiar with RHEL compatible, but am constantly lost with Bazzite, trying to use the wrong instructions.

  • Often times the ads are included in live streamed content like sports. Sports that don’t have ads like older MLB streams just show a weird “we will be back soon” title card because they are just simulcasting the cable broadcast.

  • In a way I’m glad he’s doing this. He’s going to inflect so much pain that he loses in a landslide in four or 8 years or whatever. If income tax rates are 0, then a new administration would be able to set them as high as they want without consideration of trying to increase them by 2 percent or whatever they do now.

  • My kid has an Apple Watch but because you can’t play a game on it he often leaves it charging by his bed. He’s also responsible and sets alarms for his chores which means I’m often the only one around when they go off. Sometimes I think about turning it off and hiding it.

  • I’m all in on the Apple ecosystem but won’t get an Apple Watch for that reason. Besides the fact that I already get distracted enough, I can’t bear to have a wearable that won’t make it 24 hours without a charge. Resistance to that level of obligation is the same reason I never bought a Tamagotchi.
