  • If there was a way to gain more than the S&P then in theory the market would find that gain and reduce it to being the same as S&P. If investing in all stocks would be better then Vanguard all stocks index would be better.

Hedge funds and managed funds for "serious investors" try to get better than the S&P and some succeed but most fall below. Is general not everyone is doing it but by the way things are now everyone really should. It's a surefire way to get 4% + inflation.

  • 4 times budget sounds more than it is. You have to underbid to actually get contracts for construction and then it also depends on what was actually missing in the specification.

Big projects are never on budget because the budget is just an arbitrary number of lowballing the best case estimate

  • Yeah, it's usually just a compliment. Some things that implied I was gay were having gay friends, smiling, being friendly and not always having sex-seeking behavior with girls. Probably also that I don't have traditionally male hobbies like football and I'm also a good listener. Then there's the fact that I grew up in an all female household and I'm up for listening to matters of the heart.

Rest I'm pretty much a stereotype guy, I go to the gym, mediocre hygiene and dress like I have no sense of style. I've had some girls even say "I first thought you were gay but in reality you're really straight". Probably my love of having sex with girls gave it away finally.

  • It's safe to wear but it's also probably just plastics. Microplastics on skin and other long term microplastics are still not in yet so you could say it's maybe not as safe as cotton. It's the same material as more expensive stuff though so the price tag doesn't really change the safety part.

  • Yeah, euro is a good candidate, inflation target is 2% and is pretty stable and widely accepted. The Mercosur deal might tip the scales pretty heavily towards the euro since Latin America uses mostly USD for international transactions.

The BRICS currency would also be a strong candidate if that ever happens.

  • That's a very interesting hypothesis. For sure it affects it and there might be other chemicals that get combusted as well. Not sure if the quantity is the same as with leaded gasoline and I'm pretty sure the proportion of Americans that go to shooting ranges on a regular basis is pretty small. Interesting post regardless
