  • Going by the numbers would suggest Israel is 20 times worse than Hamas. But, that was before they started one of the largest scale war crimes in recent history*... I would argue that Israel is, from what seems to me a rather objective point of view, to be much worse

*I'm referring to the war crime on 2.2 million civilians who are being cut off from water, electricity and food, who can do nothing about it, because of, you guessed it, Israel.

  • Is the reason this is repeated so much... because it pretties up the fact that it's 20 Palestinian children for every 1 Israeli that has been killed? And "eye for an eye" makes it sound like it's 1:1?

  • What's the reason why you think this is an asshole design? I can think of two:

    • Advertisements in of itself is a blight on humanity
    • They have a dominant market position and it's almost impossible to compete.

    But, these two things aside?

  • I doubt I'm anything like you, and I also doubt I think like you. I've spent my life always critical of what I think, always allowing myself to be wrong. So I don't look at this situation with the gut feeling and emotion you seem to have. I look at humans, and human behavior. I'm skeptical of any news and media, especially if there is reason to suspect an agenda.

This is literally collateral damage that is inevitable… Israel is doing the right thing Hamas is a terrorist organization Land is not owned by any society. It is owned by the power of the society at the time

Each of those sentences combined, paints such a strong picture, that I'm surprised you cannot see it for what it is.

  • I'm all for open discussions. But.... shouldn't one know the basic facts on a topic before seemingly expressing an opinion on the matter? You clearly need to take an unbiased look at the situation.

You do not kill hundreds of innocent people and blame it on oppression.

The oblivious irony of such a statement.

  • Indeed. There are many still who are making big bucks on this misconception. The worst offender in my opinion is "The dog whisperer", who is likely the worst well known dog trainer, and has done (and still does) a lot of damage. The whole basis for his school of thought is based on this alpha/beta/omega hierarchy.

  • The only reason why I mentioned is of what seemed to be a disconnect from reality. Either that, or I just misunderstood.

Funny how in this conflict one side is expected to adhere to international law while the other side totally ignores it, intentionally attacks civilians, takes hostages, launches missiles indiscriminately at civilian centers, etc., If Israel adopted the tactics Palestine is willing to employ there would be no Palestine.

"if Israel adopted the tactics Palestine is willing to employ, there would be no Palestine". How to you reconcile that kind of statement, when the ratio of dead children is 20:1?

"the other side totally ignores it, intentionally attacks civilians, takes hostages, launches missiles indiscriminately at civilian centers"

This here perfectly describes what Israel has been doing for 50 years, at a 20:1 ratio. So... if you were suggesting that this was what Palestine [sic] is to blame for... Is it?

  • Plenty of developers prefer Macs to anything else.

Of course. They are pretty great battery wise. UX and OS is however inconsistent, buggy and frustrating. I had expected "annoying design decisions", but not wrong and buggy ones.

  • What the fuck are you on about? I'm not defending Bethesda. I'm saying that if a company makes games with the exact same kind of flaws every time - getting upset when they do it again suggests the issue might be with the inability to make basic inference.

It's like if you don't like chocolate, buy a bar of chocolate, and going "Gah! This one has chocolate too!".

They didn't rewrite the creation engine. It's going to have the same feeling and issues as other games made with that engine. It wouldn't have to be this way if they had done a good job. But, they don't seem to have to do that for a lot of people to enjoy their games. But being surprised by it? Nah, that's on you (figuratively)
