  • It took me a bit of morning brain fog processing to understand the context. But then it hit me.

Tim Walz has a history of delighting and helping people, and the excitement of the people (especially the kids) in the room we elated and the picture captured that.

In the other picture, the people that were being "helped' (again the kids) looked unimpressed and even a little letheragic.

It's a comparison of how one person & their party can excite & delight while the other person & their party depress.

  • There was a ton of ambiguity in the initial statement. I had to read the statement twice and look at the pictures for a moment before I understood the context in my daily morning brain fog. So I don't fault them for asking their initial question.

What I do fault them for is doubling down after the explanations.

  • I was hoping it was Kelly or Walz over Shapiro.

To me, as Bernie Sanders flavored "Socialist", Walz is an amazing pick.

However I had a preference for Kelly since I strongly believe that his history as an astronaut and his popularity in a state like AZ could help drive a lot of independent voters to the Democrat's platform come November.

All that said, progressives know that progressive policy is also extremely popular when messaged broadly and communicating the benefits to the invidual and country. Hopefully Kamama & Walz use their experince with their A* campaign team to drive that home. And then fucking deliver.

  • Lol... The Twitter offices are even in a nicer area of the SF business district. I've walked around that building many times in the middle of the night and during the day and have never felt unsafe.

    What a weirdo.

  • This is what charge backs are for FYI.

"I'm sorry, but you failed to provide a service. Either give me a full refund or I will start the charge back process with my credit card company and you'll be forced to explain why your refund policy violates their ToS and any penalties that arise from that process."

  • Elden Ring is probabaly the easiest game that From Software (FS) has made.

I however don't like the default multi-player design of FS games and waited for the Seamless Co-op mod to be released and then picked it up to play with friends as a tough open world MP adventure.

    RE: Default MP Design -

I think it's poor design to offer incentives for players to be anonymous assholes to other players. Game Studios have spent millions of dollars investing in research and technologies to reduce game community toxicity. And if you attempt to play a FS game outside the first month of release in MP mode, prepare to have your fun ruined.

  • This is political because:

    • Both parties have been messaging about age and overall fitness of the candidates, especially Biden, for the last year (technically approaching 6 years, 9 if you count Bernie's run-up in 2015/16) with increased messaging and pressure over the last month.
    • This is establishing that Kamala Harris is "young", "fit", and "mentally sound".
    • This is messaging she's capable of doing the job where Biden was precieved he wasn't due to the above criteria.
    • This is messaging she's a better candidate in terms of health & wellness over Trump.

That said, Biden is an avid cyclist and goes on regular bike rides, even at his age and political status (COVID and other passing illnesses aside). However, most people weren't aware of Biden's fitness routine and extra-cirruclars.

  • Googling

    Jump
  • Co-pilot is amazing and terrible at the same time.

When it's suggesting the exact line of code I expect to write, amazing. When it can build the permissions I need for a service account for a TF module I've written, amazing

However, it will suggest poorly formed, un-optimized code all too often.

That said, knowing when to use/not use/modify the suggested code has greatly improved my productivity and consistency.
