Years and years and years of Republicans and Conservatives dancing around like confused travolta at the suggestion they are racist bigots. They control all three branches for barely 72 hours and nearly everything they have done has been in support of racism and/or bigotry.
Yep. Way too similar to the last four years of the Merrick Garland DOJ.
There's no getting out of this court case, this new evidence is damning! He's really going to see some consequences this time! Just a few months from now!
This is what is grabbing me. I know it's what many of us want to hear because we could see it happening, and I know that makes it potentially a very seductive hoax.
I just hope someone in a position to prove it so is taking steps to do so.
I think it bears investigation by folks in a position to do so, that's my only point. Folks have made reasonable expressions of skepticism, but I think it bears investigation and I hope someone is in contact with this person to attempt doing so.
Only if there's anyone left in government who will enforce the law. We couldn't get that done with a democrat pres and a democrat DOJ, we're not getting it done now that the maganazis control everything.
Unless those Democrats still in washington have levers they can pull that none of us know about, or some Republicans grow a conscience (insert laughing hispanic guy meme here) I have legitimate fear about what the next four years will bring.
For the first time in my life I'm typing something critical of our government and elected officials and wondering if someone is going to bash my door down for it a year from now.
Follow the philosophy of the fediverse and block early block often. From what little I've seen at bluesky, the magas get SOOOOO angry when people just block without engaging. It's to the point where some of them have dumb shit in their bio like 'a block is a win to me' to try to bugs-bunny you into not blocking them.
The pool at twitter is reaching the point where they only have other magas to argue with and they are desperate for attention by the time they get to bluesky.
Now that the Israeli military has done several more attacks in Gaza since the ceasefire (including by a sniper who killed a child), and attacked a refugee camp in the West Bank for good measure, I stand even more so behind my assessment that taking the cease-fire seriously without having a reason to think it will continue is just poor pattern recognition.
You could have had Kamala Harris, who you could say might have been worse or might have been better than Biden. Instead, we have Trump, who is catastrophically worse, in every objective sense, by such a wide margin that I don’t want to think about it. Congratulations, I guess.
No matter how I try to express this it's never eloquent enough for folks who don't already see this to see it. I hope you are having better luck, you definitely crafted your argument better than I often do.
Remember everyone, the "ceasefire" that Trump "negotiated" (wink wink) is in no way just a temporary distraction, he's better for Gaza than Dems could ever have been.
Not the case here, but thanks!
