Break up AdSense, chrome, search, android, shatter them all into separate companies that can stop selling out literally every waking aspect of life as their sole business model.

1.5 million concurrent players with a 99% drop off is STILL THOUSANDS OF CONCURRENT PLAYERS for an indie game.

The only games that can't work with a playerbase in "only" 4 digits are MMOs. Otherwise there's no excuse.

Same thing is said about Helldiver's 2,and there were 60k online players in game last week on a weekday. That's exceedingly healthy, especially when games run most of the infrastructure peer to peer anyways!

I hate the narrative, and I wish more games supported private servers for this same reason. There is no reason why a good game that failed to become the next Fortnite shouldn't still enjoy a long life as a cult favorite for decades.

Man, as someone who's cross discipline in my former companies, the way people treat It, and the way the company considers IT as an afterthought is just insane. The technical debt is piled high.

Having an uneducated illegal immigrant child presence in the country who are not in school during school hours will harm the children, harm the parents, harm the community, and harm their future if and when they do naturalize legally, setting them back literal decades and completely ruining their future chances.

I stress again, these are literal children, who are innocent in all this. They don't choose where they get to live. They don't get a material say in this, and blaming and harming them for their parents choices is cruel and hateful.

Morons don't understand that going to school is the #1 way we indoctrinate children as Americans first, and I mean indoctrinate in the sense of civics and governance. There is some fundamental propaganda you kind of need to know. If you stop that then you deny them the ability to integrate with other kids, sometimes stunt their language learning, and you truly do create an underclass that is less educated, but above all else: has no formal schooling in the civics and laws of the country they live in.

I mean this sincerely: this means they will be less likely to internalize themselves as Americans first, and thus more likely to do the exact thing conservatives don't want, and simply adhere to their existing culture and import it wholesale, no blending or "melting pot" effect (forgive the analogy but it's the one they know).

It is a complete own goal that will harm conservatives short and long term and hurt millions of innocent children.

I agree on the ads and bundled services, but the "windows is slow" stuff is horseshit. A tight build of Linux boots more quickly no doubt, but a fresh Win10 or 11 install, even with bloat, is up in under 30 seconds, and runs swiftly out of the box. This isn't "slow" by any definition.

In the 90s, many folks called stuff they didn't like or thought was lame "gay" pejorativly. I understand the perspective you are trying to hold here in not perpetuating a similar bias towards the less-well-endowed (LWE). But this is a group that ostensibly includes half the global population as possible members, and the colloquial usage of "big dick energy" has nothing to do with actual dicks. A man with a 2" Johnson can have incredible big dick energy. A lesbian who just laid down the law and owned a task can have big dick energy. Conversely someone always scared of others, or hateful just because things are different is not acting with confidence. They're giving off the opposite, small dick energy.

There's no hate here towards a protected class, or even toward LWE folks. It's about a concept rather divorced from the actual physical circumstances.

So because all interpretation is subjective, one should defer to language giving the least possible offense because the possibility an extreme reading of comments might hurt someone who hyperspecifically applies it to themselves?
