  • TL;DR?

But it's no secret the Ultium platform's launch isn't going all that hot. For starters, there are very few of any of these cars on the roads, but the ones that are on the road seem to be plagued with problems. There's a whole bugs and quibbles thread on the Cadillac Lyriq forum that is approaching 100 pages. TFL's GMC Hummer EV bricked while off-road, necessitating a tow back home. Would the Blazer EV follow in the footsteps of those two cars? If my experience is anything to go by, then the answer unfortunately might just be yes.

  • This will significantly increase production costs per wafer and per chip, which will inevitably affect companies that use leading-edge fabrication technologies, such as Apple, which is currently the only company that mass produces processors for smartphones and PCs using TSMC's latest N3B (3nm-class fabrication process).

TL;DR? Apple stuff to get more expensive.

  • The subscription model is a wee bit off putting. I employ old hardware and don’t wish to be frog marched into an update/grade that could break that.

Have seen it happen before, been in IT too fucking long not to.

  • I pay $15/mo and w/ rollover gigs always have plenty. If you’re looking for obscure or D/C’d content, it’s damn well worth it.

Was able to score a Nordic comedy series for a co-worker that couldn’t be found elsewhere.

Also, content you sideload from USENET doesn’t disappear at the whim of a corporation, or due to licensing shenanigans. Just sayin’.
