  • Here's a crazy idea. Every state has their primary on the same day so that no state gets to dictate who others get to vote for.

Here's an even crazier idea. Ditch primaries altogether and use Ranked Choice Voting.

I'm sick and tired of other people deciding which lesser evils I'm allowed to choose between long before my turn to vote even comes around.

  • Agreed, that would be useful knowledge. I'm sure there's a publicly available data set that has that information somewhere. But it's probably a case of knowing who to ask for the raw data and being willing to crunch your own numbers.

  • Here's a stupid idea.

How about a rule that just says that if the State Department has evidence that war crimes are being committed by other countries with money or weapons provided by the US, that it is obligated to immediately report said evidence to Congress. Congress should not have to ask for this kind of thing.

Edit: .. and then wait 30 days for an answer.

  • I am saddened for those that die despite doing everything that they can to prevent it. The vaccine doesn't always work. Some people can't get it for legitimate health reasons (as opposed to the illegitimate excuses some people use). Etc.

Call me cold hearted, but with the exception of the minority of people meeting the above criteria, I can't help but imagine that most of the people dying of COVID at this point are willfully ignorant Trumpets taking one for their team. Good riddance to them. That's one less ballot we need to worry about in November.

  • True, but in this specific case,

The child had not been vaccinated and the parent was offered medication usually given to unvaccinated people that can prevent infection after exposure to measles, but refused it, the Philadelphia Inquirer first reported.

This parent strongly deserves a good railing against.

  • Don't care. The only people that can get kicked off of shitter are people still on shitter propping up it's waning credibility. There are no respectable people left on shitter because you can no longer simultaneously be there and be respectable.

  • Just like the flu, the virus is mutating. Boosters may not always target the newest mutation, but they're closer to it than the previous year's booster. Further, over time your immune system will gradually "forget" how to fight viruses it hasn't seen in a long time. Both of these are each reason enough to get annual vaccinations for COVID and the flu.
