  • Commenting to come back later for recos

  • There's that good ol' fashioned tankie-lite virtue-signaling deflection.

  • When Trump wins the election it'll be because your rhetoric pushed people not to vote in a way that prevents him from winning.

  • I think I demonstrated pretty handily that Harris is center-right.

Which has nothing to do with whether Harris is further left from Trump than she is right of Stein.

  • Again, to say Stein is far to the Left of Harris, but Harris is only slightly to the Left of Trump is ignorant at best, disingenuous at worst.

  • Now imagine being so ignorant as to not see how a similar comparison on policy between Harris and Trump would put Harris far to the Left of Trump.

  • None of those policies sound particularly far away from what Biden/Harris have done / want to do. Student/medical debt cancellation being the obvious one. Job growth under Biden being another. Harris has also recently spoken in favor of unions/collective bargaining as of late. Harris also co-sponsored Bernie's Medicare for all.

Is Stein to the Left of Harris? Sure. Is she far to the Left of Harris? No.

The fact is, the ideological gap between Harris and Stein is way smaller than the one between Harris and Trump.

But you want to disingenuously paint Harris and Trump as virtually identical because of a single foreign policy issue that you lot can pretend to clutch your pearls over and virtue signal about until your lungs give out.

  • Which of her policies do you consider to be Leftist?

  • I don't actually understand her ideology, but the other candidates are literally Hitler

The Lemmy Lefty archetype in full form.

  • At least Byd is trying to offer cheap evs even if it's to fuck with our economy.

Oh hey, looks who's defending a billionaire!

  • Yeah, but

Actually no, but don't let either of you failing to read the article get in the way of making your smug little screed.

  • I missed the mark on total number of steam employees by 9. They have 79 employees total for Steam. 71 or 79, it is still an insanely low number

LOL 79 - 71 = 8, not 9. Can't even do basic math on your made up numbers.

  • But do you know what you're laughing at, though?

  • Well said.

It's not that what he's saying is out-and-out wrong -- it's just not useful or interesting in the context of the discussion.

  • you can do whatever the hell you want when you buy it

    Mmm, not quite.

And I point that out because Lemmy is a very FOSS-friendly place where that sentiment is actually true.

  • Just so we're clear here -- you pulled your original numbers out of nowhere, but made them oddly specific (71) to give the impression that you were citing an actual source.

    That is hilariously pathetic.

And barely even matters since you're ignoring 90% of the comment you replied to (financing and partnerships).

Just really paints a picture of how boring, basic, and uninformed your opinion is, for all the cockiness you came in here with.
