I've been at work an hour and haven't done anything. I have some things to work on but they aren't due for a week or so and I can finish them fairly fast so no point rushing.
I usually spend the morning catching up on news and relaxing until 10 then work until lunch, depending on whether I get my tasks done for the day I'll continue working after lunch or go back to nothing. Some times I get to go out for site visits so that's fun and eats up part of my day. Spent 40 minutes talking to some old lady named Flo about her garden yesterday on a site visit.
When we're busy we're busy and I work hard but summers are always slow and my boss is wfh today.
Graveyards are awesome depending on where you are in your life.
Hated working them in my twenties, wouldn't mind so much in my thirties. I have always enjoyed the night, I grew up in a loud house and night time was the only time it was quiet and I could do what I wanted peacefully.
It's not just out of touch rich assholes who think this. I have so many friends that love to say people who work at don't deserve to live in any city and should get a real job. The most ironic part is non of them know how to cook and rely on fast food for the majority of their meals.
People making under the median household income are the ones who keep the city functioning and they deserve to live in the city more than someone making 300k a year.
I use a Costco memory foam on top of a really thin shitty feather pillow I've had forever. The memory foam is like a cm or two too short for my neck to be comfortable so the feather pillow is used to lift it up that extra bit.
I remember making back up's of songs I liked that had swearing in them when i was like 8 in case my mom found them. I think I had like 5 or 6 copies of Damnit by Blink 182 hidden in my folder on the family computer, which had an 8gb hard drive.
From my understanding, at least in Canada, we've an increase in older people using and a decrease in younger people trying.
Essentially older people who may have used back in the day generally gave it up when they had kids and lost their plug. Now that it's legal and available they are going back to it since its easier to get now then having to know some guy and go through that whole rigmarole. As for the younger crowd, dealers aren't as common since most people just buy it from the store, or grow their own and they have other avenues to form addictions, like social media.
There has been some rumblings that make it sound like they are gearing up to get involved. The new housing minister recently said the feds never should have left the building game in the 80/90s. Singh has made some recent contents as well that echo that statement.
Between that and what's been going on in my province, it sounds like the higher levels are finally starting to understand that the municipalities and private builders can't do it by themselves. It sounds like more info will be released in the fall so I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Every time I catch 5th Element scrolling through the channels, I put it on.
Same, when u had cable at least. I had gotten trolled by The Fifth Estate, a Canadian investigative news series, so many times while surfing thinking it was Fifth Element.
I have a pretty close group of male friends from highschool that I would like to say I know pretty well. I moved away from our hometown in my early twenties 10 years ago so it's hard to keep up with the lives, who they're dating, etc. We have a group chat that's mostly just memes and stuff but it gives us a chance to reach out.
Sonic on sega was the first game I played, FF7 was the first game I loved.
