I hate that I can't do it so I guess we're even?

I would love to pump some baby batter into my gf and start having a kids, can't do that while we're stuck living paycheque to paycheque on a combined 130k in my parents basement.

Pretty much, the plot was dumb and the story wasn't much better but that didn't stop it from being a fun watch. Ironically Ryan Gosling, a man, was the best part of the movie.

Tame is a good word to describe the messaging.

That's pretty much all of Canada, even our biggest cities are too scared to zone properly in fear that they'll have to actual govern and educate their electorate, easier to just assume the next guy will.

I've been a public servant for three years and all I've taken away from my short time is that the public can't be trusted to do anything to benefit society.

Remove zoning restrictions and someone will build. Give them the incentive by making what you want to build easy and most will jump on it instead of going through a 5 year long rezoning process to build a 30 story tower.

Of course they did. Fixing it would cut into profits and hurt their "clean green" image so they didn't do anything.

Yeah, no, to save space they didn't come on pallets, we would have to load them onto pallets and get them off the truck. Not sure who had the worse job, me or the Chinese guy on the other end losing the truck.

I used to work with this old guy named Mel in my early twenties at a graveyard job in a cold storage warehouse doing freight handling. He would bike to work 20 km down a dark highway to get to our shift at 1 am, he owned a car just preferred to bike, which I respect. This guy was in his 70s, consumed nothing but a cheese sandwich for lunch, coffee, and smoked heavily. Despite this he was in seemingly great shape and was fastest, hardest worker in the whole place. At Christmas time we would unload 20 lbs boxes of mandarin oranges from 53 foot trailers packed top to bottom, front to back onto pallets, this guy would go faster by himself than two people. He always said it's just about the technique and how you position your body.

I knew him in my early twenties before going back to school and he was the only person at that job with a brain so we talked a lot about space and technology and all that. I moved away for school so it's been like 13 years since I last saw him so I wouldn't be surprised if he's dead given his age and how much he smoked but I always wondered what happened to him and if he's still kicking around. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this guy made it to 100.

The alternate start screen is a good start, but I need more before I spend my money.

Maybe look into GIS work and try to get on with a municipality or regional government. Not sure how it is in the US but in Canada there are plenty of GIS jobs open all over the country, it's easy enough work if you have a good understanding of (I think) Python. Plus maps are fun, at least I think they are.

Just to add to this, if you're interested the main program I see being used is ArcGIS. QGIS is another program that's similar but free and open source and good to practice on to get the basics of spatial mapping down, but there are some things that are different between the two that is not a 1:1 transfer of skills.

Remember when pot was decriminalized and everything fell into bedlam and chaos just like we were warned about for 50 years.

I have the same last name as a famous video game character and my girlfriends first name is one letter off from said character. I realized it on our second date but never mentioned it as I thought it would be weird. She figured it out a couple months in and said she didn't mind as it would be easier than telling people her current last name.

That's too much to expect from the average Canadian which is why the cons control the majority of the provinces despite royally fucking them up. Canadians don't understand how government works.
