  • I can wholeheartedly vouch for Haylou earphones

  • Didn't play the Switch version, but on Wii U this simply saves the replay of the race

  • well, I see. thankfully there's loads and loads and loads of alternatives over on XDA still in development

  • is it that bad? I though Graphene supports all Pixels well

  • Why would anyone care about official support? That's not why you buy a pixel

  • I like to think that LibreOffice is a great alternative to those used to 2003 and older MS Office, and OnlyOffice is a good alternative to those used to post-2003 MS Office.

  • Mine was an aquamarine blue iMac G3 (the see-through, cathode ray one), which was already quite outdated at that point. My father got me it from work, they were getting rid of old machines.

    I used it mainly for music, my brother shared his huge music library over Bonjour inside iTunes, some basic games like chess and sudoku. I remember him teaching me to use Gimp and Seashore and some basic coding in Smultron. It barely ran YouTube, which I remember vividly because I would play videos via Miro, and trying in Safari or Firefox could straight-up freeze the computer. I must have been 7 or 8 at that point.

  • WYSIWYG, when pronounced, sounds like an Irish town with weird spelling. Like Northern Whisyghwhikh, Dublin county

  • Upvotes ratio. Let score be S, upvotes U, downvotes D and ratio R. Then:

    R=U/(U+D) and S=U-D

    D=U/R-U and D=U-S

    U/R-U=U-S

    2U-U/R=S

    U(2-1/R)=S

    U(2R-1)/R=S

    U=SR/(2R-1)

    Your current, as of typing this comment, 83% with score of 4 means:

    U=83%4/(283%-1)=332%/(166%-100%)=332/66≈5

    You got 5 upvotes and 1 downvote

  • On top of dynamic ads, another problem would be decentralisation of podcasts. Many of them are released on several platforms simultaneously, and some sort of extra work would be needed for this to work accordingly independent of where you're listening to a particular podcast.

  • The problem is, a lot of podcasts are using dynamic ads insertion, which means the ads are added on the fly when user download an episode. Ads length could be different from person to person, and there's a possibility of empty slot too, where the podcast unable to sell the slot. "We'll be back after this short message," and jump straight into the next segment. No ad.

    Omg that explains why I got an ad in my native language in Adam Conover's podcast

  • Thanks, I didn't mean to sleep anyway

  • This is huge, but are there any navigation apps which work with Android Auto except Google Maps and Waze (which is re-skinned Google Maps)? Afaik OSMAnd or Organic Maps do not support it

  • This is so fucking weird. Features like this usually work by merely attaching tags or creating shortcuts, and without moving the original file anywhere. Therefore removing the "Important" tab should only remove the tags and leave files intact.

    I wonder whether it's a poor implementation of the feature by Google (highly unlikely) or poor understanding and misrepresentation of the process by the article's author (highly possible).

  • What a terrible day to have eyes

  • Ikea where I live (Poland) does that. You have to spend at least 0,01 PLN yourself, even if it means not using the entire amount of the gift card that was available

  • They 100% will and probably are already prepared to do that the day it starts shipping. DSi flashcards were a cat and mouse game, Nintendo kept updating the firmware to block them, and the hackers kept releasing new cards. This went on until DSi hit EOL
