I swear all these articles ever do is make conversation devolve into "MY OLD MAN IS BETTER THAN YOUR OLD MAN!". I mean look at the comments. It's distracting. At the end of the day, a loophole was found and Orange Chicken Little is going to use it just like the past three presidents did. The Democrats should be pointing the fingers at themselves for not amending the War Powers Act to return all combat engagement decisions back to Congress when they had several chances. The money is too good so they won't do that. Instead they will feed the public this crap and "take the high road".

I only use Lemmy and deleted my reddit account. I didn't bother with Mastadon or BlueSky. Then again I didn't bother with Facebook or Twatter either. If it's important it does bubble up to Lemmy with less bots and brigading going on so that's a plus. I do have a few YouTube channels I watch that are either about fixing stuff or oddball humor. From my own personal observation, there is a noticable difference between social media addict behavior and people who don't make it their entire existence.

However, the president can take over if a national emergency is declared or during war time for redeployment. Orange Chicken Little has manufactured a national crisis that is the "Invasion of Illegals". They are basically trying to strong arm dismantling the Posse Comitatus Act and bypass congress. Once that happens you can't impeach the Donvict because he is overseeing a national crisis.

Here's a thing you can try: write all the mean things you want to say, but don't post it. Instead, cancel your post, downvote, and move on. It's kind of therapeutic, almost like writing a mean letter you're not going to deliver and destroy. It may not work for you, but being angry talking to stupid people all the time is very draining. Another saying, "You can't win an argument against stupid people. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."
