  • Most aircraft are pressurized to 8000 feet, yes. Exceptions are the 787 and I believe some of the newer airbus models that are pressurized to 6000ft. It makes it more comfortable for passengers . One of the reasons this has been difficult to do until recently is that the fuselage undergoes a pressure cycle each time to aircraft takes off and lands which eventually causes metal fatigue and failure. The newer aircraft incorporated a lot of composite materials in their fuselage construction which aren't as vulnerable to this particular type of failure, so they can safely pressurize to a higher relative pressure.

  • I'll just point out again that the military force thing is a manufactured headline. Reporters at this point know that Trump isn't going to rule out military force in any situation (ruling out military force is for pussies). So any reporters can just ask him "do you rule out military force in order to___" and the answer is always no and they get the headline they want. Easier than real journalism, I guess.

  • Many countries have hard material problems holding them back. The US doesn't. Abundant resources and fertile land, an existing vast and diverse economy, and a huge amount of wealth for investment. The US has more raw potential than any other country even now. The problem is people and culture. Lincoln was right on the money - no external threat can really undo the US. It will come from within.

  • Others have explained it (places where social interaction is the primary intent - not home and not work) but I'll add - old European cities (and most smaller towns) have some sort of public square. Many have lasted to this day and are still used. We can still build them, we but our chosen form of urbanization isn't that conducive to it so we don't. In North America in the 80 and into the 90s, malls we're 3rd place. Then they started aggressively going after loitering in malls since simply sitting in a mall doesn't produce economic activity. Many malls died and many are still dying. Those that survived achieved the - nobody goes there to chill anymore. Just to buy what they need, maybe eat, and then leave. Nobody plans to "meet at the mall" anymore.

  • The hit boxes appear to be huge. I got it just by turning and shooting from the starting position.

Fun, but a relatively simple script could likely be developed to solve these.

  • It works better because everything else is geared towards maximum monetization to the direct detriment of the user and the UX. Those alternatives suck simply because "working better" on its own is financially worthless to those selling this shit.

  • The fatal flaw at the bottom of democracy. The qualities that make someone a successful politician (read: convincing people to vote for you) have little to do with being a good leader. When they coexist in the same person it's by coincidence.
