  • You’re comparing – what you perceive as – schadenfreude to fascism.

I stated that you perceive this as schadenfreude. I feel joyless anger about the incredible stupidity, and significant annoyance by the self-defeating double standard that equates my anger with fascists actually voting for this.

Also, seriously, your measure of greatness is NC not electing the Black nazi for governor?! I mean this fucking bar is really fucking low.

  • Schadenfreude or fascism, which are you?

    Reading comprehension's hard, eh?

And for the rest of us that live here?

Sorry bro, I can't control your shitty neighbors' votes either.

  • Goodness, this guy is a fucking charlatan. Perfect man for the current administration.

  • You’re comparing – what you perceive as – schadenfreude to fascism. It’s just adding to this notion that for some reason, we hold MAGA voters to a different standard. No amount of “jeering” will ever be comparable with a vote for trump so if anybody’s angry at anybody, it should be those who enabled this.

  • Regardless, picking and choosing which people you help or care about based on politics is shitty and makes you no better than the current administration.

Bro, did you check where the bar went? Not storming the capitol is sufficient to be objectively better than the current admin.

  • One, people don’t seem to realize that many of the places hardest hit by Helene, like Asheville and the immediate area, are bastions of liberalism who voted for Harris by a 2 to 1 margin

Unless it exclusively hit Buncombe county and avoided the surrounding counties, it did hit a region that actually predominantly voted for this.

it is horrifying to jeer for someone losing their home regardless of who they or their neighbors voted for.

On one hand I agree. On the other, it's much more horrifying that a track record of extorting governors for FEMA aid wasn't an immediate presidential dealbreaker.

  • This is actually a good thing. Now tesla isn't only attached to musk but to MAGA and trump too. It ensures that these vehicles will become the literal object of people's anger. It's sorta similar to people getting riled up over the price of eggs, but here, it's seeing a tesla will remind people of their anger and with this new MAGA badge on this car, this anger won't dissipate even after musk is thrown under the bus (because that's the plan).

    Make Teslas Uninsurable

  • We’re going to see the results play out regardless, but it’s pretty low to act like we deserve it.

dunno, when people are repeatedly told they are voting against their interests, but they still vote against their interests, then it is quite difficult to add to the baseline anger about them voting against their interest when their interest does not interest the party they voted for.

  • I read the news with the Trump Slump in mind and I'm much more entertained than angry. Give it a week and we'll get a drop in stock market only second to his own in 2020.:)

  • Never thought trumpy would launch the transbrander movement.

  • to apply right-wing logic to this: "if you label everything domestic terrorism, the term will lose it's meaning!!!11!!!"

  • Yeah, that will happen because someone will have to buy up the devaluing used Tesla stock for cheap. My schadenfreude comes from thinking about how surprised they will be when they realize their insurance premiums are up.

  • Nice! Turn teslas into rolling MAGA bumper stickers!

What I love about this that it already takes twice as much to insure a model Y to my comparably sized EV. if Teslas are gonna get disproportionately vandalized I wouldn’t be shocked if insurance premiums will go up further. So even if the cars value drops, the movement can still offset that with increasing the cost of ownership.

  • It might push back the electric/sustainable transition

  • Yes, it’s all about the collective power of people.

  • This again? I think he meant Biden’s election, but he got the sequence of words mixed up.

Yeah, people fixating on the rigging part and not on the trump can't even form a coherent sentence part is kinda weird.

  • what I find silly about going "vegan" is that it's roughly 5% of the US population. Let's say you boost it to 10% with all the posturing about saving the planet. Getting 50% of the population to half their meat consumption would have 5x the impact.

  • i have a 2021 mbp with 1400 cycles. 77% capacity.
