  • to all the American leftists useless idiots who refused to vote against trump

FTFY. Voting against trumpy was the easiest decision for anybody who opposes fascism.

  • "Usha Vance was reportedly scheduled to attend a dogsled race in the foreign country, sharing in a video statement on Instagram that she was “reading all about it with my children” and was looking “forward to meeting” the island’s residents.

“I’m also coming to celebrate the long history of mutual respect and cooperation between our nations and to express hope that our relationship will only grow stronger in the coming years,” the second lady said. “See you soon!”"

These people are actual fucking sociopaths

  • I have zero expectation that Tesla RoboTaxi will arrive this summer as promised.

RoboTaxis will also have to "navigate" the Fashla hate. Not many will be eager to risk their lives with them

  • To me the weird part is that one of LOTR's main themes is that power corrupts.

  • WTF is up with these defense companies named after LOTR items?!

  • It's all good, your third reply was actually the 14th post on the very bottom of this pile, sorry that we wasted each other's time. Unfortunately there is nothing new about the fact that people living in functioning social democracies surrounded by wealthy neighbors can actually downsize without risking their children's education, or healthcare.

  • TIL I've spent my 30s struggling and didn't notice it.

  • My problem?

...and I live in Denmark (or some other country where people don't default on medical debt).

    This thread is wild.

  • yup. many people don't understand that while salaries are lower in the EU, your taxes cover actually life-changing governmental services the US doesn't. (i personally know both perspectives)

  • I don’t know why you’re looking to argue about it but I’m not interested. I simply stated that where I live 100k a year would take you so much further than it does in the US.

it took you 5 posts to tell us you're not in the US. it's simply impossible to interpret your takes without context. you'd need twice as much money in the US to have a comparable lifestyle.

  • but it's misleading through and through. what's the median household income where you live?

  • 5 room house I rented

    as a single, barely surviving?

  • "Barely surviving" as a single on $150K is a little too much even for SF critters.

  • Why do I need to ask that? I know it’s expensive.

Because what you're stating about your budget doesn't take into consideration the social safety you're leveraging that americans have to allocate additional budget for (or risk the consequences).

  • okay. €. Here's the catch. ask the americans what they pay for health insurance and childcare...
