That’s a great first step but by no means the only component. You forgot analyzing the images, cleaning any privacy issues, and securely deleting the images, and of course indexing the information and making it available for queries. Best to not even store the images, IMO.

Oh… you weren’t serious? At least try to understand the tech if you’re going to badmouth it.

I seem to recall creative ways to index things without robots, e.g. browser addon that users opt into to send pages and such, essentially crowdsourcing the indexing. Anyways good to see you’re taking the high road!

Is that legally binding? What happens of they catch you, ban your IPs then you’re in the same situation as now. Literally no reason to not do it IMO.

Ignore the luddites, this will be a very important can’t-live-without feature in the years to come. Once the privacy issues are worked through, and yes, luddites, they can and will be worked through, this will be a differentiating feature that every other OS plays catch up to. It already exists in some tools like ssh playbacks.

If you count the little banner text ads then they already have the ads in the top right corner of the videos and have had those for years.

Not to mention their “1080p” streams look worse than 2013 480p streams. The site is a dumpster fire.

100% agree. Who sells assisted full self driving anyway? Tesla’s is supervised which means it drives and the person behind the wheel is liable for its fuckups.

It’s important to maintain a non-personal domain account for management in case there are issues with logging in and the domain email has a disruption. I read some horror stories on the other place about such Catch-22s.

My recollection is it was the “unveiling” before they built it and it was one person in a costume.
