The battery on my 4a is down to 66% capacity.

It does feel slower with newer apps, as those need more power.

The Fairphone is always just such an odd decision for me. On one hand, I would love to have a phone with long support and swappable parts. On the other hand, I hear so many complaints about the software and wait for major version updates that I am not enterily sure if it really is a good buy.

The price is pretty okay, a bit less than 100€ per expected usable year. This is in line with other manufacturers. Also, the biggest bull of the expenses probably comes from the way the manufacturing and materials are checked.

Is there any sense in installing a custom ROM on the phone to get rid of the software issues?

Or maybe there will be less issues this time? From what I heard some of the problems where caused by Qualcomms support windows being closed and the company actually updating everything themself. Which might be solved by using a SoC with somewhat decent support now.

If you are used to it, probably. I know that my pixel 4a is slowing down after 3 years. But I am just used to the speed, so it is okay for me.

I just have a big shell script that will redo all my changes after updates. I only broke my install once :>

My ZenFone 2 is my favourite android phone I had till today. I still miss a lot of the small stuff you could do with it. Also the official case was great, which brought the phone into a completely different UI.

There is a one-time signup fee. Last time I heard about it it was 20$ or something. I don't think you have to pay per listing.

Or the Google Play Store, which has a low one-time fee iirc.

I just tried to check the pricing of domains at cloudflare and they just don't have a list. You need to transfer a domain to see the price. So I will probably stay with inwx for the time being.

Do NOT get a M1 MacBook for Linux. While Lina is working on support for the hardware it isn't finished by far. Any normal Intel/AMD should be fine.

Oh no it isn't. Walldorf Frommer is well known to send "Unterlassungerklärungen" which you have to answer. It will go to court if you do not work against this. You normally need your own lawyer to defuse what they send you.

Also, if you are in court, there is the concept of "Störerhaftung" which is a wet dream for everyone suing you for copyright infringement. They will have your IP and the time, thus your address. Now you either have to name someone who did do it, or if you can't you will automatically be liable.

This isn't any intimidation, it is one company using the laws in place here to fuck you majorly over. There are a lot of stories about this and if you seed on any public tracker you WILL get a letter.
