I feel like if anything they made effort to not have people touch the file manager ever

even really old drives can be used as removable storage if you have a sata dock

websites can indeed send you notifications but it you get asked and also you can turn those off somewhere

assuming OP lives in Germany it might be a good idea to get one for this

where else would you put them? with my laptop there's a big vent across the bottom and you can't really cover the whole thing with your legs
